Halo 3 Beta: May 16th - June 7th

Yeah, a lot of the lighting in Gears is prebaked though, and it seems many people misunderstand 'HDR' to mean dynamic lighting rather than dynamic range.

i wonder what will happen to XBL bandwidth tomorrow, i remember the Halo 3 E3 trailer almost killing it.

(How many crackdowns have halo beta?)

saw it somewhere, not sure if it's real, funny anyways though.

Ah an achievement named after yours truly. I have reached infamous level (perhaps speak to Bungie about the misspelling). :)

I figure about 500k.

In fact, I think the beta wont be such a strain on ms servers, since it's only available to those. A popular run of the mill demo might easily garner more downloads than that I figure, since it's available to all.

However, I suppose the demand for Halo 3 may be much more concentrated at it's moment of release due to high hype factor, which may pose a issue.

Plus i think as part of last XBL update they increased bandwidth didnt they?

Microsoft: Screwing its paying customers as fully and as hard as they can.

(2 hours behind schedule, I wonder if we'll even see it today at all. My friends and I certainly won't be in a position to play until much later today even if it comes out before noon Pacific, now)

Edit:
VV People who got in free can download and play right now. If you bought their (really good) game? No. Maybe Crackdown is such a great deal that we shouldn't be able to play the first day or however long it takes them to fix their mistake. =P

Edit 2: Wow. WOW! Really guys.

Stop whining! There are three weeks left. ;)

Bungie has acknowledged the delay but hasn't said much else.

Conspiracy: They're hoping employed individuals give up waiting and go to work to decrease the number of hits when they release it 'later'. :runaway:
