Wow, the extended trailer at the conference with the gameplay shown was amazing! :D

I don't see the what difference that makes, an increased number of devs doesn't make a console do things it isn't capable of.

    They are not magicians.

Can everyone here please forget the CG trailer for one moment and simply appreciate the gameplay and if you want to compare it at all, possibly compare it to other console games out or coming out in 2008? It's stupid to compare it to the CG trailer.

Though, I have to say, the total package is aewsome with this game.

    Agreed.

But talent + time (generally) = "miracles"

(Talent or time can be supplimented with numbers)

    Examples are plenty on ps2.

I think he was responding to the 2 year development time statement and how more devs in a team means they get results faster overall and 130 brains are better than 50 (more variety more ideas/solutions!).

Whether there are 130 or 50 its irrelevant. Even with 300 people and 50 million dollars I d still be wondering how in such a limited time and on a PS3

If any of you have a PS3 you can download the trailer off your PSN. It's not the same as the one shown at the Press Conference but it's very impressive and you can see it at it's best.

I thought that was easily the best console graphics so far and looking around it appears that the majority of the internet agrees.

And now I'm off to bed. :)

Never played Liberation so I couldn't say. But the original Killzone had a lot of spotty design decisions. The biggest one I can remember was that when you used the underslung grenade launcher or shotgun, you had to wait for your guy to reload the damn thing before you could use the primary fire again. It just had a lot of problems. Hopefully they have some better people testing this time...

My uneducated guess on the number of people working on this is because it may be for the engine and not the game. Sony can give away or license the KZ engine if it's engineered well enough and general purpose. It just makes sense that Sony has it's own PS3 specific engine.

Wow you combed the majority of the internet.

Can't believe people really make statements like this.

Can anyone point me to some proper gameplay footage? I have the trailer and see many short glimpses of gameplay, but it's really hard for me to get a feel for what the game will look like when playing.

I just looked at the HD trailer, and I think people will reconsider their opinions of "best graphics, EVER" given some time.

Personally, I'd put it par for the course in terms of graphics.

The HD video does look good and it has plenty of time to look even better. To be honest I watched the Haze trailer in 720p on IGN and it trumps most things i've seen which was actually quite surprising.

Just gonna post the link, since it needs to be big, but a site did a little comparo between the 05 trailer and the 07 trailer.

I didn't realize how close the two actually are.

They're all small size, but still, its pretty impressive in my eyes.

I mentioned this in the Sony conference thread. The audio and video are completely different from 2:25 on when it switches from in-game to trailer. Wonder what happened?
