How does a flash make it blurry? I've always thought camera shake or focus makes picture taking blurry.
It still looks more photoreal than the GTHD ingame shot. The lighting just looks more real period.
This is not GT-HD! GT-HD consists of GT4 Content upscaled/higher res to 1080p.
This is a Preview of GT5. There is a Preview of GT5 and a GT-HD which is GT-Classic as far as i know.
I think the point was "the first and fourth pics are the game and not reality". Regardless if it's GTHD or bloody GT5 or GT5 "prologue" or GT6 "prequel"... I do think that that pic is from GTHD - the demo you can now dload for PS3, which is definitely NOT just GT4 content upscaled to 1080p.

Call it over-saturation or whatever. This is not how it looks on the TV, at least not on mine. And PGR (which i didn't bring in for comparisons, yet receive neg. rep for it) is definately anything but photorealistic.
The same goes for some of the GT HD shots. The "real" screenshot make the shots a little more life-like by hiding some CG details.

When I'm talking diminishing returns in here, I'm talking in the sense that Nintendo and some forum guys on the internet were talking about. Do you remember when the 360 first came out and people were saying "dimishing returns" every few days?
I hated it then and I hate it now. I still don't think we are getting dimishing returns. Like the comparision that Bad_Boy posted proves that to me imo. GT5 with a cockpit view, dynamic rain, better physics, damage, and beautiful replay angles that make the cars look real at times is WAAAY better than what we got in GT4. PLAIN AND SIMPLE!
Now if you want to disagree fine. Go ahead. But imo the returns are not diminishing.

I dare say this behind the car screenshot looks more photoreal than the behind car GTHD shot. Granted it's running at 30fps and at a lower native resolution, but still.

The screens look great, to bad we have to wait untill 2009 or something before we can actually play the game. Kinda makes me wonder how good the game will look compared to other games by then. It looks awsome now, but I think it will be just good looking when it comes out.
Anyway the cars look awsome but its to bad the demo only contains stupid japanese crap cars (I hate japanese cars) exept for 1 Ferrari, wich isnt that great because it isnt mid engined and a lotus. /me only likes Ferrari's. And I still think the enviorment doesnt fit in with the cars.

Its the name guys. This is a "GT-5 Prologue".
Everyone keeps calling it GT-HD! GT-HD is the former GT-Classic which should have been a PS3 GT4 with high res textures not that much more polygons and 1080p. I am not saying that GT-HD is an Upscaled gt4.

Then why compare the games using photos from TV ?
Because that's how the GT screenshots are being captured? Do you have frame buffer grabs of GT?

The fake ones have a far bluer sky reflection.
For rendering cars, it's always good to reduce saturation in reflections.

I just watched some videos but im kinda suprised I havnt seen anyone mention about the sound yet because imo its just horrible. You got a great looking game and than you suddenly hear something wich sounds like one of those petrol RC cars or some lawnmower instead of a massive V12 engine and it ruins the game.
