Sony PlayStation VR2 (PSVR2)

Aren't asetto corsa iracing or dirt 2.0 the full games in VR on PC ?

And what about the excellent forgotten Driveclub VR which also was a full game with full races and even MP.

And Project Cars 1, 2, 3. Don't get me wrong, I expect GT7 to look a bit better than those games even when played on high end PC hardware. But those and other full racing sims have been available on PCVR for years. GT7 is at best an evolution of what's been around for a good while already.

It was the best VR experience human plebs could have at the time !
Dirt Rally VR was on PSVR1, too. I’m sure GT7 will look great, though.
yeah had this one too, but if i remember correctly it was a bit limited on PSVR, not the full game.
I mean, they talk how about in GT7 in the showroom you can go around the car and enter it, but that was already there in Driveclub !

Don't get me wrong, GT7 will be amazing for sure, but some comments made by press of even Kaz a bit exaggerated.

AC is pretty old now but some of the mods are incredible especially if your not a super competitive circuit racer. I really love the open road tracks with traffic (primarily shutoko and santa monica hills) it's kinda like playing a modern testdrive or need for speed with good visuals in VR. Couple of times a month I jump into one of these servers with some friends although I don't always play in VR, it's hard to grab a quick sip of my beer/rum and coke with the hmd on ;) I don't think GT7 really looks leagues ahead of this.

the mod was primarily made with only the night time of day but it stills looks ok in day time.

Man that hype.

I've been reading about Pimax hardware lately because I think a wide FOV would be really exciting. Over there the narrowest and most usable mode is 130 degrees horizonal. The maximum is 170 but is optically problematic. Most of the users seem to run 130 and they love it.

Obviously Sony didn't try to go wide, even to 120-130. It would be interesting to hear the reasons.

Heard opinion the fov is noticable better than psvr1. Reason why fov is not even higher rather technical/price limitation, besides of Pimax there are no higher fov generaly, even in 1k+ headsets.

Performance perhaps.

I know for DriveClub VR they got rid of the excellent dynamic time and weather system entirely, changed the whole lighting system from a deferred renderer to a basic forward render lighting model and everything had to be static, downgraded the number of opponent AI from 12 to 7, on top of super blurry image and the game was known to be nauseating. Compared to the PC VR racing titles it was pretty bad and disappointing. They also charged $40 for it lol.

It Was not about the tech but the features, it was a full game contrary to GTS VR, and they did not have much Time to tune it for PS4 pro because they were being closed by Sony, they just removed foveated rendering that was on base ps4.

Well, full game compared to GTSVR but still a heavily downgraded VR game with removed features from the base Driveclub game, so it definitely wasn't the best VR experience to humankind xD

Anyway Kaz usually makes these hyperbolic PR claims to sell the games and hardware lol, even if the games end up being really good.

Why derailing the discussion ? My point was not about graphics or "best vr experience to human kind", it was that there were other full featured vr racing games before GT7 VR and even on PS4.
