Seriously though, what the hell is going on?

Oooooooooooookaaaaay...

An unsuspected "D" without the "E" in the middle.

I guess this brings the release ~27 hours sooner...and feel a real dumbass

3dmark password

Downloaded 3dmark05 on Emule but is was encrypted and required a password. Could this little trick from futuremark be the password for the file and Starts with OWND*****. I have heard that they may provide a bittorrent link for 3dmark05. It certainly would be a good way to spread 3dmark05 fast and efficiently, it took weeks before I was able to download 3dmark03 when it was first released.

3dmark05 on the mule is a rar achive and not a exe as it says. change the filename extension to rar or open it with winrar and it asks for a password! If only I knew the password though.

Don't execute the fake 3DMark05 file at the eMule. It has some nasty code.
Could you elaborate a bit please? I didn't even notice a fake was out. (And I feel slow and unobservant for that. :? )

"D-Cross" as pass seems to work somehow...

Re: eMule 3DMark05

Don't trust 90% of the .exes found on the eMule/ED2K netowrk, especially if it's for a highly anticipated and potentially popular product. Unless some popular/respectable p2p information site says it's tested and okay.

Also, more often than not, large zips or rars requiring passwords are fake. Usually made to up the supplier's download ratings.
