Killzone 2 pre-release discussion thread

That trailer wasn't even handled by GG or anyone at Sony, so it has not in anyway shape or form effected the release of the game.

The CG trailer by Axis has clearly been used extensively as a look development reference, and not just the modeling/lighting/action coreography part; but also as a guide for the graphics coders about which rendering technologies to concentrate on. GG designers were heavily involved with the movie as well, in storyboarding, direction, pacing etc.

Man, It is looking so cool :) ! The animations are so slick and cool !

On other thought, vids seem to be coming out in total disregard for the NDA ! People don't fear Sony anymore?!?!?

Yeah, just like Uncharted uses a lot, with nice mud and moss effects too. Hopefully it will become a trend ... ;)
 
wow! is it me or is killzone2 streaming high-res textures now? the imrprovement they made for the textures since E307 is simply incredible.

Yeah... the players seem to take fewer bullets to kill compared to RFOM, and the pace is quite fast too (I was expecting slower game play).

I reckon if people bunch up together, they should be able to tear through a scattered team easily. The multi-floor level design, the different character classes, traps, etc. may jumble up the gameplay a bit though.

Did someone above said "everything" is destructible ? I didn't quite see destructible pillar in the videos.
 
I've noticed a strange sound when aiming. I came to realize this was the clicking of the L3 or R3 button. DO NOT LIKE.

Please let me map the controls, PLEASE.
