Hello

firstly no leaked video, check on the PSN to see that I am actually playing it.

Right, graphics are very smooth - I have had no lagging at all. Everything so far seems to be destructible. I have played as a BOT and a HUMAN. As for the levels, some are small and close quater combat others are quite large.

My only remaining concern is how it feels to aim and shoot. A number of folks were complaining about the aiming and shooting and movement feeling "sluggish." Have they fixed that issue? Can you move, aim and shoot abruptly?

N2K and Deepbrown, can either of you confirm wether the smoketrail for the rocket launcher is present or still removed since the pre-Beta please?

Yes the smoketrail for rocket launcher is stll there, other than that i am really enjoying the Beta. I was in the RFOM 2 Beta and the best thing about it was the Co-Op and the Chicago level but K2 is on a different level. So far its def a day1 purchase :D

So I take it this is purely a multi player (incl. modes with AI bots) demo?

The one thing that had concerned me from the few videos I'd seen was the scripted parts and triggering thereof in story mode.

Yes multiplayer with the choice of HGH or ISA. There is certain objectives that each level contain's for example like capture the flag and most kills wins, i am not going to go into full descriptions but you know what i mean.

any other questions :?:

thanks mate, just glad that it's still in, it just makes the rpg that much more badass with it.

I wouldnt be surprised if that game's budget was equal to GTA IV's when all is said and done and it's all because of the goddamn CG trailer from 2005.
That's the trailer that kick started the "war" between the PS3 and 360, Sony made the KZ2 a symbol for the PS3.
If KZ2 comes up short in any category, Sony loses face, which is why they are apparently willing to sink colossal amounts of money and time into the sequel to a very bad game. (Liberation was great, but KZ1's stench lingers)
If that trailer didnt exist, we'd probably have the game by now.
How much does a publisher make from each game sold? How much revenue does 5 million shipped units generate?

That trailer wasn't even handled by GG or anyone at Sony, so it has not in anyway shape or form effected the release of the game.

It was created by GG before Killzone 2 had even entered pre-production. They began creating the trailer immediately after Killzone 1 shipped. (Source:EGM August issue)
Of course it has effected the development cycle. The EGM interview with GG talks about how the guys at the studio have a freakish devotion to reconstructing the look and feel of that trailer. They fully intended the trailer to cause a stir. They also said that they "enjoyed" working under the burden of such massive pressure and that the hype motivates them. (they also said that they were "used" to working under such conditions, which makes sense given the idiotic "Halo killer" hype that Sony PR threw at their doorstep during the first Killzone's development)

I always thought that the "halo killer" hype came from the media. I never found any reference to it in the initial sony PR about KZ1.

I've yet to pry myself away from LBP to play it. I watched my bro play it for a bit...I have to take a closer look at the graphics. Lots of impressive stuff, but wouldn't say outstanding...yet.

Blasphamey! lol. Give it a shot!

That way I can put together a stage of epic proportions and get it added to the GAF list :D
