October 30th was the release date for:
- 80Gb sold as standalone in three different colours
- GT5
Spec III 80Gb bundle with 1xDS3- LBP 80Gb bundle with 2xDS3s
7k, one day, one bundle sounds like a decent enough boost over <4k, seven days, entire range to me
For completeness, November 27th is the release date for the Winning Eleven 2009 80Gb bundle with 2xDS3s.

Right, I had forgotten about WE. GAF seems to think that it's a risky endeavor, the first WE with no PS2 version to back it up. Maybe it'll convince some more people to buy a PS3, instead.

Wow GTA4 sold pretty well. No wonder I hear so many Japanese players when I try to play GTA online these days.
Little Big Planet sales are decent but could be better. Maybe because this doesn't count the ones sold with the new PS3 bundle. Hopefully good word of mouth with give it legs.

360 DoDonPachi Daioujou Black Label ExtraIt's less a matter of momentum than of releases. Look at the table I posted. Nothing too exciting next week, Last Remnant for 360 the one after that, WE2009 with bundle the week after that. Then a baseball game I know nothing about and a bunch of western releases for both consoles, then Gundam Musou (Gundam Warriors) 2 and then WKC. You can predict what the spikes will be based on that.
The major upset is if Mercenaries/Fallout/Fable 2/B&K/Saint's Row do really well in Japan, though unlike GTA they don't really have a history of doing that well (actually, I'm not sure if Oblivion did okay, I strongly suspect it didn't).

Surprised to see the xbox 360 sales stay so high considering all the dsi and ps3 stuff that dropped.
I think that's where it's going to stay from now on, excepting bumps. Wasn't it at 6k before the whole shortage + ToV + whatever else craziness?
More like 2k mate. Look it up. I have my doubts it will maintain anything above 4k personally. There will be a slight Last Remnant bump and that's it. It is clear to me that Japanese gamers simply don't like the JRPGs on the 360.
Actually, I did, they for the weeks leading up to ToV they did 4kish. Sometimes nearly 5, sometimes slightly under 4. Before that, like the weeks leading up to MGS4 they were doing 2k, yes, and sometimes 1k. So 4k does seem reasonable.
