Fight Night PS3 Screens

It would defeat the purpose if they didn't. That would be stupid IMO.
Yeah I agree, the first person view looks like it could be fun with all the on screen signals of your health, and it really makes sense as to get you a little more immersed with being an actual fighter.

Anyways, heres a quote from 1up about it.
The only caveat is that at this point the developers aren't 100% sure if first-person mode will be available for players to run through their careers in, due to some balance issues. They are trying to make it work, but aren't sure if they will be able to fit it in before release, so players may be relegated to just one-off matches and multiplayer fights, as well as online first-person bouts.

Looks much better than the 360 version and this is coming from someone who owns the 360 version and considers it the best game on the console!

well it better be more polished since it comes out soooo much time after the 360 version.

and this is coming from someone who has a 360 and does not think fn3 is the best game on the system ;)

Fight Night PS3 coming Dec 12th
THE BEST-SELLING NEXT-GENERATION SPORTS GAME ON XBOX 360 GETS A FACE LIFT THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 3 for the PlayStation 3 will be shipping on December 12 to retail stores nationwide. Featuring exclusive content including a comprehensive ESPN Integration package, film-quality graphics and a new first person mode called Get in the Ring, the PlayStation 3 version continues to innovate on the hit franchise.

Get in the Ring mode allows gamers to experience the fight through the eyes of the boxer from the moment they step into the ring until someone is KO'd. The unique first person view can be played on or offline, throughout the career mode or in single bouts. For the first time ever, gamers will truly experience the sensation of the sport with different visual and audio effects occurring throughout the fight such as ear ringing, restricted vision, flashes of bright light, color shifts and blur effects that simulate the sense and feeling of getting punched.

It's the new 2 player first person mode. I'm sure there is single player first person mode, but I don't know if it will be available in the career mode.

Well, they weren't sure if they would be able to manage, but from the above post it looks like they managed to get this in all modes, which is great. I remember a game way back in the day, which had some of the earliest 3d graphics on PC, which was also a boxing game, pretty advanced, and in first person mode which was great fun ...

4D Sports Boxing? That one was tons of fun at least, even though I didn't like the first person view at all.

It looks really good!
better than the 360 version I think.
Although I'm not really digging the 2-first person view mode.

Yep, that was it! Although ironically there are no first person view screenshots to be found on the internet (at least not though Google images). Sad thing.

I was really quite good with the first person view, loved it.

I also loved it as a hidden bonus in Tekken 2 on PSX, but that was very hard ... :D Loved it though when you got the heel of a foot full screen ...

4D boxing roxors! A nice gem :D
It's still the best boxing game out there, the way stamina effects both fighters is still superior to FN, also the career mode was way better.
Also there were some real surprise fights, who could forget the Smokin' Joe Blow which in roster looked like anyone else in 50 characters, but actually could beat almost everyone in it while being in place 28. :D
