Ubisoft’s Shanghai studio to develop Xbox 360 Splinter Cell

that sky-diving scene is a controllable cut-scene. You will control that character as he sky-dives into the city, and lands with his parachute.

also, this is classic in game Splinter Cell:

Yes, I see I posted some picture from last november. I hope they soon give us a (small) video with gameplay. I jjust don't really trust the shots they gave us.

There is tearing in the games, all 3.

well, on my 46" I can see tearing from a mile away, and when I first booted up SC3 and was watching the demo, the tearing was brutal, i was like "this better not be wha tte games like" but as soon as I started playing, it was gone.

This is concept art.

That's clearly XBOX. Look at the poly's in his suit, low res non-bummapped pants and last-gen lighting.

This is next gen:

This is realtime.

The realtime model of Sam (with gun aimed at inmate's head in this shot) looks nothing like the concept art of Sam in my prior post. There is also another piece of concept art floating around with sam shooting through a window and holding a hostage in his other arm.

Also, go to www.gametrailers.com and click on the new splintercell 4 dev interview...you'll see the snippet of Sam falling from the sky. It is either a realtime cutscene or cg (referring to the pic where you can see his face and goggles).

It is particularly bad in the intro video, but in the game as well all the same. Defiantly don't look for it if you don't see it though, I wish I couldn't see it either.

I think it's been confirmed that that scene is one of the new controllable cut-scenes, so it's an in-game cut-scene that hands some limited control over to the player. So, presumably you will actually manipulate that character as he falls through the air.

Good call on the Sam character models, I think you're right.

I think this is current gen too. The next-gen pics look extremely better on the X360.

No, this screen cap was clearly labeled as being in-game X360.

This is current-gen (similar scene):
