His video is the right one for me.

The video that you posted seems to convey a sense of disconnect in the world. I don't know it seems like nothing is physically "right" in the game.

Nah. It's because the game is so close the reality, that common graphical failures are jarring your brain from being fully immersed that it is reality ;)

That's odd, I even tried in different browsers I still get a music video with patsu's links. /shrug

It's a 1UP show. You were probably listening to the opening song :D.
Just follow through... and you'll be fine.

I listened for more than 30 seconds, that was all I could handle.

AlphaWolf's video is a collage of all the fight scenes. The one I posted is a segment of the 1UP Show for KZ2 preview. The latter simply gives more background behind the visuals. e.g., They have adopted Heavenly Sword's style mo-cap. We already know they share similar shadow technology as Uncharted. They also borrowed some rendering technology from Insomniac.

The protagonists are on Helghast. I don't know what's physically right or wrong there yet. Some parts seem to be too fast (sped up ?).

Yes, I like the way smoke/dirt swirled around the exhaust. Their environment seems to be more and more turbulent since the first time we saw it. Best part is still the lighting for me.

I guess I'm the only one who feels that the characters aren't really in the same world as the machines and the bullets and such. It doesn't seem like they're connected to the world to me.

Well, notice the concept art that's in the backgrounds, Some of them are awesome ! Especially the bridge with the tank on top and destroyed city on the right looks ubercool to me!

I noticed some wierdness when the troopers emerged from the APC, and when a black tank moved and fired from the darkness. In those cases, the moving objects were a little floaty. The animation appears sped up. The rest looks fine to me, but you could very well be right.

I am not sure if this is a newer build, but the environment and character animation seem improved. I wonder if they take anything from Uncharted's animation system. It looked floaty during development too.

i really liked the death animations in this game, they did seem improved from the last showing, hope E3 offers a new darker level though, with tons of dynamic lights to showcase the deffered rendering.
PS. is the self-shadowing still present in the game? it's all moving too fast and low res vid doesnt help either. is anyone patient enough to point that out for me?

These shots look amazing. I would love to see them at full resolution.

The depth of field, lighting and motion blur do a fantastic job of creating the illusion of depth in the images, where most 3D games still look pretty flat.

The MP trailer is the first footage of the game that has generated any interest for me. The SP videos all looked pretty boring, but the character designs and artwork for the multiplayer models, which may be in the SP, look stellar. The MP video looks exciting.

As great as the game looks (especially more so for MP), they need to solve the ambient lighting problem. Without a strong light source everything looks flat (as expected).
And hopefully add some light casting to explosions also, lens flare is not enough.

looks fine to me... at times where it does look flat(ter), its because its either in-doors with limited light, or nighttime. i'm glad everything doesn't look shiny. personally, i think its the most life-like looking game out there. the camera movement and animations attribute to that.

.... or outdoors with cloudy weather.

I agree with those, but regarding not having shiny normal mapped textures or plastic shading under shadows, there is a visual price without ambient lighting.
