this is one game where i'm equally intrigued by the game and the workings of the rendering pipeline.

I think you might need an edit there patsu old boy. Those link to the thumnails. Probably easiest to link to the Gamersyde page (unless you want to host them again).

I was told the 2 women behind are mannequins. Not sure if it's true though.

The woman in front still looks great. More variation in eye movement would be preferred. So far all the snapshots I see of her eyes are rather intense (stop glaring !).

They are "mannequins" but since the guy is a serial killer, and from what I gathered from watching the trailer and Madison's (the female character) reaction upon looking closely at them, I got the impression they'd either be embalmed persons or there would be parts of real persons in them. Some kind of Silence of the Lambs'y situation.

Anyway, this small scene is said not to be part of the story. They said it was made only to demo the game mechanics and supposedly will be available on release. Or they could release it as a demo a little before.

In this case it's more of a PIP a la Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy. ;)

Dunno if anyone has noticed this, but I was browsing some thread on NeoGaf about the best skies in videogames.

Anyway take a look at the Heavy Rain motorbike shot on this page:

    http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=338554

Now look at the Crusin Wii screenshot on page 4. Weird huh? the skybox is identical (but flipped) and the lights look pretty similar too. :O

Ah, makes sense. It wouldnt have surprised me if it was real tho, seeing as so many companies license the same HDR sky textures.

Soo awesome. Control scheme is very weird, lots of sixaxis movement is involved, but the gameplay and attention to details is stunning.

Too bad there is no translation for the speaker...

Can't believe there is this sort of dev-walkthrough available and Sony has not already funnelled it to all newssites across the globe. They're not exactly bleeding media attention at the moment, with many of their high class games going by unnoticed AGAIN, such as Pacific Rift.
