Formula 1 - 2014 Season

And what about the rest of the weekend? He's been slow throughout, please don't forget in the dry they have a massive advantage so there's really no excuse

Honestly, saying that some driver is "broken" just because his teammate happens to lead him 2:1 in wins is just ridiculous, they're better than that at the top

Can't say much about quali but I can see I'm very happen I switched to a 1Gbps connection instead of the 4G connection I've been using the past year. Finally I can watch F1 with some decent IQ :)

The best quality in high definition and probably soon at 4K, is on television. Cable or satellite, there are so many operators that torturing yourself with internet connection doesn't make much sense to me. At least I would never ever rely on that shit for television.

Curious, what was the issue? 4G connection has a lot more bandwidth than is required for HD broadcasts (IPTV or online)

Except that to the best of my knowledge there is no way to watch Sky F1 in Japan (certainly now without paying a ridiculous amount of money just for watching 20 races or so a year).

They stopped showing F1 on public tv in Japan and the pay tv channel has absolutely horrible commentary (to the extent that I can understand it).

So no, tv won't work for me. Besides, some of the ways you can watch by using the Internet give IQ that is so close to what you'll get on tv that it's fine for me. Wouldn't use it for movies or anything but for F1 it's more than good enough for me. Certainly a giant improvement over flash streams.

Theoretically, yes. In the real world bandwidth fluctuates a lot and providers might throttle things as well as block certain protocols. Even low quality flash streams would often crap out on me, http downloads would get into 56k territory at night (the amount of anger coming out of me when I built my pc and tried updating windows and download drivers, you don't want to know) etc.

I assume you're familiar with ace-streams?

I make it 3:1, but facts have never been your strong point.

It's the manner of the defeat in the last race that's done it, the better tyres, faster during qualifying and arguably the race but he still couldn't pass Hamilton.

If it had been for something important and it wasn't the same team i wouldn't be so sure he wouldn't have passed Hamilton. He clearly backed off after the team orders and Hamilton simply has less to lose if they had crashed, he is afterall, the former champion.

Nico Rosberg : "I had two main problems today. I wasn't totally happy with the feeling on the brakes, which resulted in me locking up and going off on my fast lap on the second to last lap. Then on my final timed lap, I was half a second quicker going into the last corner - but my time delta on my steering wheel display said that I was two tenths slower. So I just took a big risk and spun because I mistakenly thought I had nothing to lose anyway.

And Nico isn't broken, he has been racing for far to long to let a guy like Hamilton get on his case, he showed that he can keep up in 2013 and he is still keeping up in 2014. Imho he is the best proof that Schumacher still was quick when he returned.

Worst piece of software ever written.

Buffering buffering buffering... after cursing at this piece of shit software for 10 laps I've switched to a flash stream. At least that works.

The options in this software don't even do anything :')

Ace-player is crap, Ace-streams aren't as long as there's enough ppl on the stream

Thanks to a reliability problem. If Hamilton didn't have a problem in the first race he would've won every race so far.

Amazing fuel economy from bottas.

Not the best race, but I am happy Alonso managed a podium even after Massa had a fantastic start and they touched. Massa just was in there too hot and he paid for it with his long pit stop.

Hamilton was unstoppable and Rosberg had a good recovery drive.

Vettel couldn't do anything it seemed and had to be told again to let Ricciardo through. Seems like Vettel and Räikkönen both are having set-up problems, because we know they are not bad drivers.
