E3 Predictions 2015

Possibly a 12-13" iPad Pro, maybe not with ARM. But more Apple, whatever it is. Certainly no console announcements. Maybe some Metal talk and examples of games written in Metal.

If you're referring about my post in the Xbox thread about E3 being a cakewalk for Microsoft, that is of course based on what we know through announcements or leaks. I think for the average gamer, Microsoft have a stronger AA/AAA lineup but have have to remember that Sony do have a lot of studios with no pieces on the board so there may be some surprises in two weeks time on Sony's side.

That said, while I'm cooling forward to Halo 5 and Uncharted 4, I'm perhaps more interested in WiLD and No Man's Sky because they appeal to my inner explorer survivalist and it's nice to have new experiences as well as tried and tested first/third person shooters.
No hype, nothing. I will say nothing about it. But I WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend you Life is Strange. Nuff' said

Apple's summer conference is usually mainly centered around software developments, presentations of the next versions of iOS and OSX. Some hardware announcements too, but probably not much of that this time; Macs were recently updated with old haswell chips - they'll skip broadwell entirely, predictably - and the "ipad pro" is still too far off to be shown on monday I'd think; there hasn't been much in the way of rumors about it so far, and usually pictures of internal components and stuff like that leak well in advance of the official unveiling. iPhones are shown in the autumn, to coincide with christmas shopping season.

There won't be the umpteenth CoD premiered on the Xbox One, but Plants vs Zombies. :p

Well, if they do another one, I would suggest changing the hero. Maybe a female hero would be nice, and doesn't have to be in the same setting either.

Might as well just create a completely new IP with a similar gameplay feel of GOW but everything else different. I'd certainly enjoy that, if done at the same quality as the original trilogy.

I honestly wouldn't mind a GOW spin off, still keeping within ancient greek mythology but in a different genre, e.g. wrpg.

I love ancient greek mythology and find it fascinating. Still I wouldn't mind an rpg in any kind of ancient national or cultural mythology or folklore. Japanese folklore would be sweet too, with kappas and Oni and all that good stuff.

Tbh I'd just want SSM to do something new.

yup, either that or a more interesting male character.

Only way I'd play another God of War game is if you were a protagonist that killed Kratos at the end. Kratos is possibly the worst well-known character in gaming history. He looks stupid, his story is stupid, and there's nothing interesting about him. If they made a game where you played a Greek hero that had to hunt him down and stop him, I could get behind that, because the button-mash gameplay is up my alley.

As much as I adored the GOW games (pre Ascension), I have to agree with that.

One would hope that with the budget they are probably working on, they can reserve what would amount to a tiny part for someone to write a good character and interesting story. Something that goes a bit beyond the GRRRRROAAAAARRRRR I AM KRATOOOOOSSSSS I WILL KILL YOU AAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!! over and over.

But at the same time nothing too involved. No one wants the Last of Us version of GOW. This should be a game that one can pick up and play over and over again in two sittings or so. Like that absolute genius of GOW3.

Well Kratos did start as an interesting tragic character at the beginning with some elements that were reminiscent of Greek tragedy. Things werent evolving well with each sequel though. Indeed his personality deteriorated to an asshole that killed anything on his path without any sense of conscience or logic. There was nothing under his skin. Everyone had more personality at the end than him. Not to mention every bad guy in every other big game too. Kratos essentially became an uninteresting bad guy which was controlled by the player. His depicted rage though flowed very well with the gameplay. GoW3 was a masterpiece despite that. But it reached a point of saturation for Kratos. There is nothing left. I dont want to see another game with him.

Btw @London-boy I am still very thankful for your xmas present of GoW:Ascension :)
