Every sector in the game is an online competition (time trial drift challenge etc) in itself. Also the penalty isn't actually Forza 4 bad - you only get a speed penalty for cutting a corner. You can go off track for a while with no speed disadvantage to speak of.

Yea I know GT has penalties as well. For time trials.

But those don't exist in races. You don't get a red lap for cutting a corner in a race against AI.

I would know... I do it all the time in Circuit de la Sarthe lol.

Online races can be configured way harsher.

Ehm ... yes. It's an entirely subjective opinion whether or not that's ... fun. But I guess if someone is coming from a Motorstorm perspective on racing then its ... different.

I love it. And I'm really loving the gyro controls. Say no to visible digital-to-analog conversion in replays.

I've uploaded one of my own, got a Maserati at some point and gave it a spin on Chili (first time I drove there) with random track settings, which ended up being in the complete dark. Very nice. The Maserati has a perfect sound, imho, and the amount of oversteer is very satisfying. Very nice car to drive.

Great game ! Short loading time! Graphics are very good. IQ is notre perfect but pretty good and the best is the lightning. I like the handling, penalty system, the agressivity of IA but Evolution studios and don't completely fucked up the online launch... I hope they will announce soon the date for weather, replay and photomode...

Not only the wind turbines or the clouds move: on all levels I have done every blades of grass & vegetation (sometimes there are whole fields of "grass") move in the wind.

What? You mean you still didn't set the display area of your PS4 correctly and you still have black borders on your pics? You know that you only get a scaled (dirty) image then?

You can adjust the display area of the game screen to match the TV screen. Select [Sound and Screen] > [Display Area Settings].

So if when i play it its in full screen but not the screenshots i take, that means that the game is streched, does that means more jaggies or less ? Could explain why people see more jaggies than others.
And why does this game do that and not others i have ?

Played some more...this game reminds me exactly of PGR.

But I have the following problem: the game always states that the DC servers are offline and I cannot connect to them (and that I should check my PSN connection).

Are others playing online already? Or is it a general problem...?

They have a problem with servers capability. So because of that ps+ edition is postponed. If (when) the game succeeds to connect you will play online without problems. But when you disconnect you free up a slot and someone else will join. So answering your question: yes there is a general problem but there is a chance to play online while they solving it.

First thing I do in any race game is turn off the music, glad they have saved me a job.

I'm fully preloaded (although the dlc won't download for some reason)
Don't know if I can be bothered staying up past 12 to play it though.
