Aren't they still targeting 60fps?

*Sighs* looks over performance, is this all we're getting going into the next generation? Better graphics and adding online features isn't an unexpected thing for new consoles, let alone a way to standout from a crowd of other games doing similar concepts.
They've got NFS, The Crew, and Forza 5 on their tails. Not to mention other racing titles being or becoming available on current consoles as well. Hopefully they can ask the ultimate question of "why should I buy this game?"
I could see a next-gen Motorstorm being a unique out-the-gate PS4 game, but this doesn't have any apparent 'wow factor' on the average consumer. And there's nothing here to truly inspire gear-heads like Gran Turismo or pixel-counters who want nothing but the best.
I guess Evolution will just have to hope the launch-console with slim pickings approach will help their chances again. But that could be their downfall if it doesn't work as well as they would hope.
Sony has recently allowed a lot of mediocre stuff get through (latest R&C games, a lot of Vita ports) so this might be the continuation of a worrying trend...
And Vita ports? I have issues with the Vita's proprietary memory and crap content manager more than anything. Getting ports of Mobile and Indie PC titles optimized for an actual gaming handheld is a really good thing to me.
Neither of which are that type of port ...
You obviously have not played Vita Jak&Daxter. Or QForce....
Which has what to do with Driveclub? You seriously are going to cherry pick some ports and extrapolate to all of Sony software? Just look at Evolution's releases if you want an indication of their quality.
Everything you've pointed out up to this point is very few and far between in all of Sony's publishing and developing efforts. Even your problems with the Motorstorm series is highly debatable, your dislike of those games is your opinion and not a wide consensus of criticism. In my humble opinion, DriveClub seems to be pretty mediocre and that is a worrying trend for the whole of Sony's game publishing.
I thought Motorstorm RC was brilliant, but the other Motorstorm games have not become more and more fun with each sequel.

Mediocre compared to what?
And is LoU mediocre? GoW 3 or Acension? Uncharted? LBP? If your standards are set so high as too label games like that mediocre then the last decade must have been very mediocre for you. No matter what console or PC you chose to pin your flag to.

Feel free to point out more numerous examples, but do it in a thread of your own creation.
Never heard of the latter two, but the first are sims. This is more in the likes of PGR or NFS.GT6. Forza. Outrun. Daytona (whatever the new version is called).
GoW:A has a metascore of 80, which is not considered mediocre in my books. And it wasn't even made by the main team at SSM AFAIK and was not part of the main story.LoU was awesome, GoT so far for me. Ascension felt pretty mediocre in the demo I played.
And mediocre is not bad, it is between bad and good. You can have something mediocre and still be satisfied.
