I don't think you will see Fable. I think the big games for them this year will be Forza , Avowed , Scorn , Redfall , Senua and Stalker 2. I think you will see some other games that weren't announced yet

Stalker 2 is going to be delayed without a new release date given due to the situation in the Ukraine (GSC Game World is a Ukrainian dev. studio). The last I heard, they were attempting to move as much personnel and equipment to the Czech Republic as they could as well as filing paperwork to establish themselves as a business so that they could legally operate there.

There is a high likelihood that not all of their development team can get out of the country.

SB

Avowed for 2023 , Outerworlds 2 for 2024

Swap those 2. Probably easier to get a previous IP out next year than a whole new one.

I would love more info on Everwild, but kinda worried it's getting axed.

I read thatv any male between 18 and 60 is not allowed to leave except with special permissions, basically anythin illness or sickness that prevents them from doing military service.
I assume most of their people fall in that 18-60 group...

Yeah. Some do still leave the country, but they aren't supposed to. Likewise, like other's (both male and female), they may choose to voluntarily stay and attempt to help repel the invasion in whatever capacity they can.

This idea that MS can subsidise XSS even more than it currently is, to help price reduce it down to $199 is misjudged.
When last was a console rrp $199? Probably about 15 years ago? Don't think last gen got there, even at the end.

The XSS is already sold at a loss and is made as cheaply as possible.

In the short to medium term, like every other gen it's cheaper to increase storage than sell at a rrp of $30 less.
Then bulk buy 1TB for both XSS & XSX.

When they do internal revision wouldn't be surprised if they moved from the current ssd format to a more common (larger dimension) one. They are also cheaper.

Would it being $199 help sell even more, absolutely.
But let's be clear here.
The XSS is already and will always be the cheapest console you can buy.
If you want a cheap console it's the only option, especially with all access.
Or second hand will be even cheaper once some people upgrade to a XSX.

Edit:
I do think it will get down to $250 rrp, $199 sales like black friday in the mid to long term.
It's already been sold at $250 in some sales I believe.

It could be delayed , Not sure if it will or will not. However you can bet MS will use the situation to push the game.

Avowed is further along than Outerworlds 2 from my understanding but they can certainly be swapped. MS is going to have a lot of flexibility in terms of delay

The One s was $200 multiple times on black friday.

I think when you look at the actual series s dropping to 6nm will reduce the apu pricing. The 6nm apu should use less power and produce less heat. Because of that they can reduce the size of the console , size of the heatsink , size of power supply and so on and so forth.

If you can get the silicon down in power even further, to like the whole system below 40W, suddenly all your other components drop in price as well; box size, cooling, power supply, fans etc. Packaging shrinks. The cost of transportation per device shrinks. Given how large the XSS is today, if they could cut that in 1/2 one more time, they would have a very good chance to hit $199 with sales.

Stalker 2 was already delayed till dec. We really don't know what the work stoppage will do to the project. Your link is talking about anonymous sources

OK, is this any more clear? Direct from GSC Game World.

GSC Game World says S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2's development has 'shifted to the sidelines' due to Russian invasion of Ukraine - Dot Esports

and the Video by GSC Game World that is referenced.

There will be no more development on the game until the war is over.

SB

I don't want to be an ass but this really doesn't clear up anything
"“The game development shifted to the sidelines. But we will definitely continue. After the victory,” the video’s captions read."

Like I said there is no way to know how far behind they will be in terms of development. They also haven't changed the release date. So it can be delayed sure. But I will wait until an official statement on its delay

I even considered that, and still don't believe you'll reach $199 rrp.

Although I also think the physical dimensions are pretty good as is.
Anyway, so smaller apu, although the cost won't be cheaper, cooling and things like voltage regulators, psu will be.

I think that $199 on sale price will be a crazy good price as it is.

Edit:
Factoring in second hand and streaming stick, i think the ultra affordable will be covered.

Smaller apu should be cheaper. You’re increasing the number of usable chips per wafer. If they can shrink to 1/2 size, you can nearly cut the price per unit in 1/2.

As MS said, that's not as much the case as it used to be. But you do get a lot of other benefits.

It's one of the reasons they gave for the XSS in the first place.
You may get more dies per wafer, but the process is also more expensive.

Like other Ukrainian Devs GSC will move to Czech (they want to open a new Studio in Prague) and continue from there.

You sure that's for February? Most of it reads like the data is for March except for the game physical + some digital chart at the end.

XBOX IS TOP CONSOLE FOR MARCH

The 112,000 games consoles sold in the UK last month is a rise of 21% over February.

Xbox Series X and S saw the biggest increase in sales during March, up 61% compared with February. Microsoft's family of consoles were the best-selling devices in March, which was helped by the arrival of more Series X stock.
