Wtf???

OK This just started happening. When I turn of my computer by pushing the power on the keyboard the computer shuts down and then 5sec later it turns back on!? I even tried shutting it down by going to start turn off computer then shut down and when the pc shuts downs it turns right back on? I dont know WTF is going on. First I thought that I might have a virus or something so I formatted the PC and still nothing! I dont know whats going on. I dont know if its my power supply or what? Something gone bad? I even scanned the pc with Spysweeper nothing detected!

Do you have wake-on-LAN enabled? (plus some other device on your network?). Or wake on USB sometimes does that too.

well look thru your bios for the boot options.

Check your fan wires.


Check your power supply, and that it's putting out the correct STBY volts and (milli)amps.

Make sure your BIOS settings have ACPI ENABLED
