Can you live without a car where you are?

I got a new job, walk is 35-40mins now which is a bit on the marginal side & I have to go up steep hill straight out the door & supermarket is off the route but shortest path is through the middle of the cities' main centralish park so thats cool.

yes. i work from home, there's food & groceries delivery service.

the problem arise when i need to go to government building to do stuff with the gov... as they are so friggin far

I can't drive at present after developing epilepsy. Even though it is 5 minutes walk to my kids' school and 15 minutes walk to work, it is a real pain in the neck not being able to drive! Public transport not up to much around here and, in any case, it's just as easy for me to walk as to hang around waiting for a bus. Some days, I'm walking backwards and forwards from the office to the school to home and do several miles a day. Probably good for me! I can't imagine how difficult it would be living somewhere a bit more rural without access to a car.
