What are you playing now? [2023]

Far Cry Primal. Didn’t know what to expect but the Ubisoft formula translates pretty well to bows and spears. Fresh change of pace from the modern era titles. Dunia engine’s 2016 iteration is serviceable but is showing its age. Environment is generally low poly and materials/lighting are pretty flat. Fun game though. The best part is no towers to climb!

The Far Cry formula is basically color by numbers and I’m never left impressed or inspired (except for the original). But there’s something about mindlessly chasing icons on a map that’s enjoyable in a lazy Sunday afternoon sorta way.

I quit Far Cry 5 before getting off the first island. What a poor game. The franchise was ruined once Ubisoft took over.

Can't stop playing titanfall 2.

This game is ridiculously undermarketed.

Now my only hope is for apex legends to be added with titan mode in the future...

You start off on a little mass of land surrounded by lakes. Not technically an island I suppose.
How is that technically not an island? It seems like what you've described is technically an island.

Halls of Torment is my new addiction.

Mix Diablo 1 or 2 with Vampire Survivors and this is what you get.

You can play it ARPG style or turn on auto fire and auto aim and play it Vampire Survivors style.

Taking up way too much of my time. Great game. :)

Doom Eternal which is as expected great chaotic arcade fun. And..

NFS Heat which is actually a surprisingly brilliant game. The racing is great, graphics are gorgeous, and the general atmosphere and concept is awesome. Really feels like I'm playing a Fast and Furious movie. I.dont think I've had this much fun with a racer (not my usual genre) since NFS Most Wanted.

Started Sackboy.

It's actually a very fun little platforming game which there's not really a lot of on PC.

It runs at 240fps max settings (Minus the ray tracing) with DLSS at 1440p.

With ray tracing on it drops to 200fps.

Slight stutters here and there but running at 240fps means they're not as noticeable.

Looks gorgeous on an OLED and the clarity at 240fps is only bested by CRT.

I picked up Forza Horizon 5 again the other night and really had a great time with it. I was playing Fenyx Rising before that, but getting intense deja vu like I've played this same formula too much lately. I still like it, but I might have played too many 3rd person adventures in a row and need a break from the genre. Not blaming Ubi for anything. :)

That's Ratchet done, honestly? No different than the other Ratchet games aside from visuals and is only 7/10 at best for me as it got really repetitive 3/4 way through and was a bit of a slog to finish towards the end.

Playing Crosscode's DLC finally. God damn this game is unbelievably good.

If this game had released in the 90's, it'd be remembered as one of the greatest games ever made.

Amid Evil Black Labyrinth.
No one cares, but it's GOTY without doubt.
Best game released since the original Amid Evil. Maybe even better. Better than all those classic FPS games combined. Only downside is Andrew Hulshult seems no longer aboard for the music.
12 out of 10 for this perfect masterpiece. \:D/
This rarely happens these days.
I hope those guys can keep doing what they do.

Had a look at some youtube video's looks very much like Hexen, so I care
Black Labyrinth is a DLC for Amid Evil So I'll buy that first see if I like it enough to buy the DLC
Edit : It either supports VR or there is a separate VR version not sure which.
