Yeah but you can teach your kids all you want, however at this age she is really susceptible to her peers and older kids. She's already been caught stealing cigarettes from her uncle and trying them out with her friends. At 10 ffs
Yeah, I know what that's like. I actually tried cigs when I was about 6 or 7. Hated it enough at the time as a kid that I was never tempted to do it when I got older.
I was actually semi-tempted to make my neices and nephews try one when they were about that age when cigarettes aren't the "cool" thing and you can form the impression in their heads that they taste HORRIBLE and smell "yucky." And then have that experience hopefully carry them through their teens.
My relatives would have killed me though.
All you can do is do the best you can until they're a pre-teen/teen (when their peers start to have potentially more influence than a parent will ever have) and then stay consistent during their rebellious years.
Teens are going to do stupid things. Just hope that when they start to realize how stupid they are, they'll remember the things you've taught them and fall back on that.
