I so wish they would give us the option of 30 vs 60fps tho, damn shame it has to be 900p. Oh well gonna have to stomach it this way.

Great gameplay video - I'm so disappointed this is multiplayer only. Grrr! o_O

Actually I peaked my ears to hear that all the missions were playable offline as well. Very certain that was said. So maybe not as multiplayer only as common belief would have had us.

Everything looks great except for the explosions, which look completely fake.
Not if they are using fireworks though. That's some realistic fireworks IMO.

Just imagine you are in some kind of training stage, also the bullets (or lasers beams) are also harmless, who knows. ;)

Seriously. This game could look like a movie if it didn't have that stupid HUD.

Yes I agree (well I understood what you really meant, the game looked realistic). But maybe we could change that in the options? Not unusual nowadays. Opacity, size, etc.

ReWatched a few more times and ended up not as impressed, the environment is pretty barren, I wanna see more of that jungle level.

Those explosions aren't the result of bullet impacts or explosive rounds. They're the result of an imaginary laser blast hitting a rock, hence a purely imaginary effect.

Or maybe if we look at how a laser burns through a rock with metal fragments, maybe that effect isn't purely imaginary after all.
You're over-thinking it. The movies are the reference and look nothing like this. Also DICE had it right in the teaser footage a year ago:

Now they look like particles recycled from BF and the ridiculous exaggerated orange bloom doesn't help one bit.

Explosions imo look extremely good....same explosions as in star wars movies.

#IlikeSWExplosions

You need to rewatch them.

it's ps4 footage, maybe we can expect more particles and/or smoke from PC version ? Maybe even volumetric smoke like in batman.
