It was awesome till the part where he opens his mouth.
They are going to far away from the character...Cole in Infamous 1 with a tough (& rather good) voice was as good as it could come for his character.

And I have to say this...Nolan North is great & all but its my request to devs to stop hiring this guy madly....please !!
He's like in every game, the worst part is that he sounds the same in most of them & hence he always reminds me of Natah Drake eventhough I'm supposed to be playing a different game.

Yeah I actually like new look, and save for some minor changes, I hope they keep it that way. But I really HATE his new voice (that sure as hell ain't Nolan North), it didn't sound as bad in the debut trailer (it was slightly gravely), but he sounds like shit in the gameplay vid.

This looks a lot more fun than the first one. Definitely agree with the youtube comments about similarities to Uncharted 2, and that isn't a bad thing. I had no interest in this game at all until I saw this vid. Now it looks like a very probable buy for me. I hope there are extended sections of play without all the quick in-game cinematics. They look awesome, but they can be overused and cut up the gameplay too much.

The only thing that's showing it as Uncharted is the dynamic camera angles, but the rest seems like normal in-game cutscenes as far as other video games go.

I get an Uncharted 2 vibe from that video. Massive upgrade in comparison to Infamous 1.

It says he was in L4D 2 as Ellis, a few episodes of Mad Men, and a HBO mini series. Saw him on HBO. He does a decent job.

Pretty awesome, the sequel is a definite pick up since I enjoyed the 1st one though I prefer the old Cole anyday.

Watched the HD video more carefully, and realized that it was a man-made tornado.

Is Cole's weapon (some sort of staff ?) in inFamous 1 ?

no, this lightning staff is not in infamous1

the lightning tornado at the end was cool, although I wonder how much scripting in such a scene is involved?

iirc there was zero destruction in infamous 1, wheras this trailer shows a lot of collapsing buildings.

there is still some pop-in in the distant when you fast travel, although it seems to me that it is not so pronounced as in infamous 1.

I just hope that they enhance the variety in the side missions and extend the complexity of the upgrading system - uprgrading super powers is cool and should be the star of the game!

I am a little bit shocked about the new Cole to be honest though...does not feel right at the moment for me, as I got used to the old Cole. I wonder if they change the voice in other languages as well?

No, the melee weapon is new. In Infamous 1, he Gigawatt blades for melee, and also spikeLike electricity used to form around his fists for melee(if u bought that upgrade, that is). I used to melee a lot in Infamous 1 ! Guess they saw my playstyle and gave me a dedicated melee weapon.

I love the new Cole, the only issue is, He seems to have decided to be a good guy(from his looks). In the first part, he could be anybody, good or bad. But this new looks screams "I am a good guy. I am a hero in the training !". Its fine for me as I played the first game as a good guy all the way. I always play as the good guy, somehow I don't understand peoples' or dev's excitement about letting you play as the evil. But I am guessing those who enjoyed playing Cole as Evil will be turned-off by the new look.
Otherwise, Everything else rocks in part 2 !

@Billy IDol: I would rather wait for Gamersyde HD. Th ebulletstorm HD on GT turned out to be a joke about video quality, as always. GAmersuyde has absolutley spoilt me with its vid quality !

The live demo had some framerate issues, but the team at Sucker Punch is shooting to achieve 60 frames-per-second by the PlayStation 3 exclusive's release in 2011.

WoW ! 60 FPS !?!?!?!? That would be very pleasing but I would be even more pleased if they lock it at 30 and increase the visual fidelty even more. Push the SPU's Sucker Punch !

The Framerate was already unlocked in Infamous but it'd go above 30 only when there was a lot of sky in the camera....under normals conditions you should be hitting 60FPS even when you face a wall (that too in indoor sewer sections), but this never happened in Infamous, which was pretty strange.
