Yes, I saw that, but where did he make a statement that he sourced from his purported sources in MS.
All I can see in his post history is the AMD China leaks.
I don't even checked the polygon rumors, how can i know, plus i'm not insider,i just have some friends work for MS
But i think it's not really surprise if the GPU come with some future tech.
Sony has to follow by the same laws as Microsoft. So that is totally unlikely. I know California has some new laws about low powered electronics and Europe is doing it too, so I doubt that Sony will not follow that. Sony is also losing a ton of money and they can't borrow anymore so....
Well i answered your question(http://forum.beyond3d.com/showpost.php?p=1690909&postcount=17392)Sounds pretty clear to me.
Even from this post i can tell you are worried...
Even those who claim PC is their next gen are worried...when its pretty much set into stone that 99% of all major games will be PC ports of console games from now on due to the increasing ability of console hardware. They are scared that their PC components will be very much underutilized in a few years time once again.
They want to experience a much higher baseline themselves, to make the PC versions look even better than they would otherwise. Its understandable to be worried.
Sounds pretty clear to me.
What equivalent to Xenos' unified shaders could they put in Durango's GPU?
Reading between the lines is extremely subjective. bkilian never mentioned 'most people'. His only point was that there won't be a super graphical monster like previous generations, his reasoning being power requirements (which some debate). Now, lets look at his answer...
bkilian said:Let's put it this way: Don't expect a graphical powerhouse in a console. They have a lot of regulations coming into effect about power usage that they're going to have to conform to, as a set top box, which a PC does not have to worry about.
His answer says that most people are going to be disappointed due to the power regulations.
If you read between the lines it's easy to see.

We've just had four pages of pretty mindless hoping and guessing and interpreting vague comments, and people being disappointed and excited for hardware we don't know yet. Why not everyone just wait until you know what the next hardware is before getting emotional about it? This thread is only to identify what the next boxes are. Emotional attachments do not belong here.
No, it's time for those who can't hold technical investigations to either raise their game or get out (or be thrown out). There's still plenty of value to be had evaluating rumours and news on a logical, engineering level to determine the next-gen hardware choices.Emotional attachments basically define this thread.
So, what you are saying is that it's time to lock this thread until we get real solid information.
Even a 1.2 tflop console would be a real world improvement of near 10x over current generation consoles.
I would really like to know where you get 10x the performance from.
Even a GTX 680 would struggle to be 10x in real world.
What are you basing your views on?
A GTX680 in a closed box would be well more than 10x current gen consoles in real world performance.
Let's put it this way: Don't expect a graphical powerhouse in a console. They have a lot of regulations coming into effect about power usage that they're going to have to conform to, as a set top box, which a PC does not have to worry about.

It's fill and texel rate are not 10x that of the current consoles, it also doesn't offer 10x the performance in other areas.
