One hopes that these source models are ready for all future GTs no matter how advanced the render tech gets, meaning the work on GT5 will carry over into GTs 6 and 7 and beyond, adding considerable value to the original investment.
I really tried to like it but all you need, is to be honest with yourself and realise that you're. Not really enjoying it and there are far better games out there.
Only trying to be honest.
This game feels like it was put together by so many different teams and then put into a blender.
I find it hard to believe they played their own game and thought, yeah people are gonna love this.
They tried to hard, tried to be too ambitious but ultimately failed.

+1. If you like racing simulators and cars, more chances than not you'll like GT5 simply for the fantastic driving model and the huge selection of cars. There is still a tonne of stuff to pick and choose from. There's a fantastic, unparalelled game for you in there, and the only way you're going to realise that you're not enjoying it, is either that you don't like driving games in the first place, or you don't realise that you can pick and choose. I think this is why yesterday when I looked in my friends list, more people were still playing GT5 than were playing LBP2 for instance . But then of course I have a friends list skewed to GT5. For the record, I'm playing LBP2 myself ...
Try harder , you might end up admiting it's good to hate GT5.Only trying to be honest.

On their Japanese website, Polyphony Digital has formally announced they’ll be pulling the plug on GT5 Prologue’s servers June 30th of this year.
Now, that’s all about to change with the introduction of GTPlanet’s new GT5 “Feedback Forum”. This new site feature isn’t a traditional “forum” or message board – it’s a fresh new way to organize and vote on constructive feedback submitted by the community. You’re allotted 25 votes to submit or distribute among the issues most important to you. The most popular or urgent topics will naturally rise to the top for all to see.
Sony, Polyphony Digital, and Kazunori Yamauchi himself are all well aware of GTPlanet and our large community of die-hard fans who want nothing but the best for the GT series. I’m hopeful our new Feedback Forum will be a valuable resource for Yamauchi and his team as they prioritize fixes and features in GT5’s updates throughout 2011.
The new forum has now been integrated as a permanent site feature (you can find a link to it in the main header of each page), and I will be closely moderating the feedback to ensure it remains as realistic, relevant, and constructive as possible.
Latest round of the GT Academy has been scrapped! In the next game update, collision physics will be improved to stop people cheating by cutting corners or riding the walls. Maybe this is why the seasonals are on hold?
The start of round 3, previously scheduled to begin on February 14th, is now “subject to change” pending the next GT5 update, which has been confirmed to introduce more sophisticated corner-cutting and wall-banging detection mechanisms to “prevent this type of inappropriate driving”.
Though some with fast times at Rome and Madrid will be least pleased with this outcome, it is a wise decision to uphold the integrity of GT Academy while absolving SCEA from making subjective decisions about individual disqualifications. The awkward nature of the Rome and Madrid city courses were also particularly unsuited for such an important time-trial competition.
Players world-wide will now benefit from more reliable collision and corner-cutting detection, providing greater integrity in GT5’s online races and ensuring such a fiasco does not happen again when GT Academy returns to Europe.
GT series creator Kazunori Yamauchi gave an interesting speech at D.I.C.E. 2011 yesterday, titled “On Gran Turismo and I”. Hosted by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit is designed to “bring together the top video game designers and developers from around the world and business leaders from all major publishers to discuss the state of the industry, its trends and the future.”
