It may be supposedly a good value but for me who doesn't play much MP, it's not that excited to play the campaigns again with relatively drab unspruce-d up graphics for the most part (besides arguably Halo 4, cause that game looked great on 360). Even H2A, doesn't look that great by current gen standards.

I guess it's just disappointing to me graphically.

Still, I'd say it's infinitely more entertaining and content rich than COD AW that I traded it for.

Ranger your saying the updated graphics look drab ? Halo 1 + 2 look amazin you can switch back and forth in real time and the difference is night and day.

To me you get 2 great xbox 360 games with improved resolutions + halo 1 and 2 with drasticly retextured and improved models . Its much more value than something like the tlou remastered or many of the other remasters

hello x1 gamers....

any of you using the TV Guide? Does it only works for approved STB and channels? Can it "learn" from whatever STB and "learn" the channel?

And this is supposed to be a reputable source for sales numbers? An hondurean soccer newspaper with some other sections?
Eh... I didn't even think about whether the creators of the site lived in the back of the beyond or not, but the numbers sound realistic save Halo TMCC numbers, which could be real though because of a few factors.

On a different note, here are some breathtaking Xbox One backgrounds. :)

Calm your shit. You need to learn to spend five seconds investigating things a little more carefully before posting. That goes for speculating based on headlines without reading articles as well.

"I don't know how my last tweet got so misinterpreted. Every time we record early, big new seems to break. It was a joke, not a cryptic hint."

Simmer down you too. Maybe it'd be good for you to go outside despite the cold and take a few deep breaths and chill out. Thank You! :)

Every time you post a link, I automatically assume your interpretation is incorrect. In this case, it took me 5 seconds looking at the tweet history of that poster to confirm.

No. Xbox One doesn't use GPU, it uses APU.

That doesn't answer the question. It uses big cores and is a complex chip requiring a high performance fab. Articles are implying 20 nm has been abandoned for all but mobile and lesser chips, small benefits over 28nm not worth the cost in yields and leakage.

Why does this matter? I thought AMD shifted it's console business to GF last year.

Plus, consoles chips aren't a high margin business. I don't see the point of being on the cutting edge of semi technology for console chips. The cost savings don't seem to be there any more. 20 nm production will be more mature in the later half of 2015 and probably cheaper as 20 nm clients move to 16 nm.

Honestly, I don't see anything strange about the fact that more than half of Xbox owners have the MCC. First, at 6 mil or so, I'd still consider them to be early adopters who are most likely hardcore Xbox fans which means they are hardcore Halo fans. Second, I do think many people picked up the MCC as their free game during the holiday promotions. I did, and I haven't been a big Halo fan since Halo 2. I have Halo 3 but never played it more than a little bit. That's part of the reason why I picked up the collection, but I'd imagine that people who were fans would pick it up as well as their "freebie" because why not? It's not like there were a bunch of other real good choices available. Besides, it's almost sacrilegious to own an Xbox and not own Halo.

I will agree that MS is probably not touting the MCC sales because of all the issues. Hell, as recently as month, I got notified that I got a free month of Live as a gift to make up for the fact it was still borked. It's kinda hard to say "Look how well this game is doing in sales!" while at the same time, they are giving away games (was it Reach we'll get for free?), and Live subscriptions to make up for the fact it doesn't actually work very well.
The game they are giving away for free is Halo 3: ODST, which I am very excited about because it's the only Halo I've never played and Halo experts praise it as the game with the best story in the series and one of the most "original" if not the most.

As for Halo: Reach..it's one of my favourite Halo games ever. So I hope we get a Remake.

It's a curiosity that X1/PS4 may stay at 28nm until '17 with 20nm being skipped because a high performance node of 20nm is being skipped for 16nm by TSMC. There may be contractual reasons why the console chip manufacturing stays with TSMC and not switch to GF seeing as how they do everybody's chip (X1/PS4/Wii U). 28nm will be dirt cheap and be used for all consoles until a true gain in efficiency and cost can be realized when 16nm FinFet is mature and viable.

I am not understanding your assertion. Most of the news on the internet over the last 3 months says that AMD won't use TSMC for 20nm nor 16nm. AMD has shifted to GF for semi custom and cpus/apus/gpus, and is currently working on 14nm FinFET not 16nm. AMD is not listed as a 16nm partner/client for TSMC. AMD has already said that 2015 will be a mix of 20nm and 28nm products.

GF has even picked up contracts for a portion of Apple's A9 production as well as Qualcomm chips through its partnership with Samsung.

MS should still see a gain with the sram buitl into the die , any shrink is going to help them. With so few fighting for 20nm it should be a simple jump for them and it sounds like 16nm fifet wont be ready till 2016 at this point for the consoles. So they can head into the fall 2015 with a revised 20nm chip , get better yields and thermals if nothing else and of course lower costs through out
