Move Games

This is the guy I talked to also. Apart from some interesting off the record stuff, he told me they now have evolved the system from The Fight to a really great extent. Now they have basically modelled the full human body, and then use the Move controllers (and head-tracking) to estimate what the full body is doing. Also they have dynamic calibration, so that you no longer have to stay in one place, and no longer ever have to press the recalibrate button. They have a prototype where you can actually see the full body and how it animates based on this input, and they are hoping to have some use for it, perhaps in a sequal to the Fight, or something else.

I recorded some guys who were pretty decent boxing and the moving around is really pretty solid in Move Fitness. For me that also means I'll have a hard time playing it, just like picking up the ball will be an issue for me, as I don't think I have enough space in my living room! (same reason I can't play Kinect, basically)

It is actually funny because I've met both of these guys in this movie in person now. :D

Makes me all warm inside to see little guys make progress. Kudos for their dedication in Sports Champions and Lights Out.

If you can't play Move Fitness, then you would have missed out on Kung Fu Live too. Wish I see more of that type of games in the future. Love the quick action and free form gameplay.

Anyway, here's another addition...

4 Elements HD Hits PSN Tuesday with PlayStation Move Support:
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011...ts-psn-tuesday-with-playstation-move-support/

Hi guys! I’m happy to share that Boolat Games has partnered with Playrix Entertainment to bring 4 Elements HD – packed with of PS3-exclusive content – to the PlayStation Store on August 30th. Exciting news! The story takes place in a vast and ancient kingdom where evil forces have corrupted the balance between the four elements causing the altar of life to run dry. You have to unlock four ancient books of magic, collect 16 mysterious cards and restore this kingdom to life.

Here are few things you’ll appreciate about 4 Elements HD. Imagine the addictive Matching gameplay where you freely draw the chains of same-colored pieces instead of just moving one piece next to another. It feels and plays like an arcade game and it works great on PS3! We’ve added explosive bonuses, spectacular visual effects in full HD resolution, and intuitive controls using DualShock 3 or PlayStation Move.

Probably some of you saw or even tried the original game, but 4 Elements HD is all about exclusivity. It includes a vast array of new features and improvements including re-playable levels, Trophies, as well as per-level and global leaderboards. Moreover, each player gains a castle to manage and upgrade it using points earned by completing levels. Enhanced controls designed exclusively for PS3 with full PlayStation Move support as an option will be comfortable for both experienced players and newcomers. I’m sure this game will entertain your whole family for only $9.99!

etc. etc. etc.

I will update the OP with newer info.

Interesting. I bought De Blob 2 the other day which you can control with Move and which really adds something to the game (even more so its menus ;) ), and that seems pretty fun, nicely crafted little title. It also makes interesting 'Mario Galaxy' like use of a second Move controller.

I picked it up the other day, but put it back and took MotorStorm: Apocalypse instead.

It will be between Catherine and De Blob 2 sometime next week. ^_^
How's the game ? At this point, I know more about Catherine than De Blob 2.

Also, TTP just released a gameplay video for "Start the Party ! Save the World !".
He seyz it's the first gameplay video on the net. ^_^

Have always loved his videos. That man has an ocean of pride in his work.

Nah, my video was first. ;)

Of course, his videos are always more interesting. ;)

Was a bit disappointed. I played most minigames and I think I like the original better.

This game was banned by Microsoft from releasing on the 360, but I'm hoping Sony will be Sony, although it does not seem altogether likely it will make it to the West unfortunately. Personally, I think in general love and sexual themes belong in any media format including games, should not be censored, and as far as I am concerned, I would almost buy them on principle, so that more of them are made and with better quality.

Sounds a lot more fun to shoot pheromones than bullets if you ask me. ;)

You can always import it. ^_^

I remember the parental control system maps all the region's rating schemes to a 11 (or 12 ?) point scale. Once that number is set, it should apply to the Japanese system/games too.

RUMOR: Mysterious Video Hints At Unannounced PlayStation Move Game
http://www.iwaggle3d.com/2011/09/rumor-mysterious-video-hints-at.html

An anonymous source pointed us to a video entitled "Odd Forest" depicting what seems to be an unannounced Move title. The source didn't provide any details, but said info will come very soon.

As you can see for yourself in the video embedded below, the mysterious off-screen footage shows a virtual hand floating before a windy forest environment caressing trees and statues, its fingers procedurally animated as it makes contact with them.

...

That was fast. Puzzle solved:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-09-09-ps-move-game-a-sony-santa-monica-title

Polish demoscene group Plastic is working on a PlayStation Move enabled Sony Santa Monica production.

...

The video shows a floating hand touching materials in a forest. At the 1 minute 7 second mark a PlayStation Move controller appears at the bottom right corner of the screen.

NeoGAF member Toppot's detective work pointed the finger at Plastic, creator of 2008 PlayStation Network game Linger in Shadows.

Plastic issued the following statement to Eurogamer this afternoon:

"We all at Plastic admire the speed and style of NeoGAF member Toppot, who managed to combine the hints and classify us as a developer of next Santa Monica Studio production.

"We also encourage you to find the game title. We are planting the seeds now…"

Hotshot Golf 5 will also have Move support. Will add to OP:
http://www.movemodo.com/news/2011/09/everybodys_golf_move_patch_in_the_works_for_europe

It's been a while since Minna No Golf 5 — aka Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds*, aka Everybody's Golf: World Tour — got its PlayStation Move patch in Japan, with no word on if or when the controller would get support outside of Japan. Now we can reveal Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will add PlayStation Move support to the game in the future.
While there's no solid release date for the patch yet, SCEUK has confirmed it is currently working on the patch, all-but guaranteeing we'll see Move controls in Everybody's Golf in future.

Could that be the AAA move title which was rumored months ago ? I has some kinf of Heavy Rain & Flower feeling to it.

... and erie, like Linger in Shadows. ;-)

I hope they make it into a real game instead of a tech demo.
That's what I thought first of all, and I was going to question if it wasn't just one of Sony's artsy-fartsy pet projects and was a real game, but your original quote explicitly said 'game'. It has potential to stand out, but it'd need to be something special in the game department I think, to actually be something more than a PC RPG of similar. I think mechanics like grab an object and throw it using the trigger at on the cards.

It is interesting that it tries to demonstrate a lot the concept of "touching" and "moving your virtual fingers" on objects. Fingers appear to move independently and naturally.
Certainly that cannot be replicated by using the Move's trigger button
I am curious what kind of game this will be and how this concept is applied.

Looks more like a game about groping things  ! Expect japanese sex games once they see this ! Hahahahaha !
OTOH, closing ur palm/fingers by pressing the trigger and opening it by releasing the trigger will feel very natural.
