Difficulty Levels

Now that MP3 is coming out in Europe this week, I wondering which difficulty level I should play it on. For reference, I failed to kill Prime's 2nd form in MP1, but finished MP2 on the default difficulty.
How do those games compare to the difficulty of Normal and Veteran mode in MP3?

I would go with Veteran. I was never able to beat MP2 (yes, I am ashamed) and I've had little problem on Veteran. Two bosses took a couple of tries, but after a little thought they were no problem.
