Last of Us [PS4]

Maybe I've been living under rock, but just got an e-mail from Amazon.co.uk stating that the arrival date for this game is May 10 - May 15.

So we've a release date, ~mid May ... 2013 that is ... ?

The release date had been made public a while ago. It is May 7, as of the official website.

Are we 100% sure this is the first game to use a similar technique to that of Imperfect Shadow Maps?
Something is really fishy, Though i was shocked as hell too when i saw Indirect Shadows being rendered in FULL REAL TIME FOR THE FIRST TIME.

CryEngine 3 on PC?

We don't know what they're doing. Could be (most likely) something much simpler.

True however after a lot of research i found that this isn't the only game that is doing this.

The game is Star Wars 1313, Funny though it's using Unreal Engine 3 that just doesn't compete with even CryEngine 3.
@almighty
No CryEngine 3 is not doing what Star Wars 1313 and TLOU are doing.

I hope they change up the shooter-heavy gameplay in Uncharted. I enjoyed Vita's Uncharted more than PS3's Uncharteds because of the variety of things you could do there.

pretty sure right from the beginning they already said this game is stealth focus, and ammo will be very rare. Don't see how it can be shooter heavy if that is still the case.

They wanted to recreate sense of tension and fear in a action encounters against only few enemies. I don't thing there will be any massive fight sequences in this game.

Interesting, hadn't noticed them before. Gives me more hope for next-gen shadowing rendering.

Yep, And finally there will be no need for AO or any other kind of AO, I mean look at games released today, Devs are trying something to fake EVEN indirect shadows which is just bad

Hopefully i hope there will be no need for AO and we will finally have everything fully dynamic and real time,
One of the biggest things missing from CryEngine 3 is indirect shadows.
