Lol. Just dominate next month?

Its not particularly hard to dominate the month of February\March,aspecially when your the only high budget title around thats going to be released.

"dominate PS3 this year" would be better.

Well there is a little game called Street Fighter IV that will be competing for my time, but point taken ;)

I agree. I beat Resistance 1 3 times because of the co-op experience.

And then how many more times did you co-op after that? My point about co-op is that it's a nice addition, but it gets played out. Long after people stop playing the single player missions and co-op missions, they will be playing MP, with clans, in competitions, etc.

A good MP almost never gets old. Had Counter-Strike Source never arrived, I'd still be playing CS1, shitty graphics and all. Had TF2 not arrived, I probably would still be playing CS:S or DoD:S. We're talking about extending a game's lifespan for years, not just a few dozen more hours.

Playing against bots just gets old after awhile.

I agree. Multiplayer is where people spend most of their time. And Killzone 2 has excellent multiplayer. I'm definitely getting Killzone 2, since i had really excellent experience in the multiplayer game. F.E.A.R was one of my favourite FPS games because of excellent gunplay, but KZ2 beats it hands down.

Any Spectate mode for KZ2 ?

As long as the game is fun, I don't really care if it's co-op or competitive. As long as they have sufficient time to "perfect" the mode(s), I will support the devs' decisions all the way.

But I think people's concerns are they want to play games with their friends locally. I think it's fair for them to demand something. The need is not KZ2 specific. It is also not competitive vs co-op. If KZ2 does not provide the solution, someone else will (eventually).

OTOH, people can always change their mind later on because of other KZ2 awesome sauce. In which case, hopefully, they will grow to like KZ2 MP modes.

I could not care less about coop. Co-op is not a deal breaker for me, its a nice addition to have, but i care about the multiplayer and singleplayer experience first and foremost.

I agree. I like my single player experience to be just that. This a similar position I take in regards to games needlessy adding MP or co-op to it just to check off a feature bullet point. Alas, I do understand peoples reasoning for wanting it, I just don't think it should prevent them from purchasing it.

Either way, I am pumped for KZ2 and I am not really a shooter guy at all. I can't even wait to play MP and I rarely play online

To me SP means the most, nothing feels like a lengthy imersive action packed experience with a well told story. I guess I'm old fashioned here even though I'd love to toast some helghasts with a mate of mine or three.

Are the classes restricted to certain perks or could you have that perk applied to the standard soldier class (if thier is one)?
The classes have specific weapons, a primary badge (/perk) and a secondary badge. You can mix secondary badges you've unlocked to the different classes.

Not in my case. But in my case, a co-op game is a far more likely be bought because I want to play cooperatively with my mates. Over the years co-op has always given us the most fun and satisfaction. So in the case of KZ2, co-op would have pushed it from a 'maybe' into a 'well I can't refuse it now, can I?!' position.

This true for a lot of games. My primary reason for considering R2 was co-op and I wouldn't be looking to get Sacred 2 if it didn't have co-op. But that's just me and where gaming fits into my life at the moment. Little games like Puzzle-Quest for 'downtime' relaxation, and long gaming sessions given over to playing with mates. Except cooperative games are still too few and far between. Sacred 2 can't come soon enough!

The problem is co-op will get old, even R2 co-op which resembled more MP competitive with humans vs. bots still got old. Do you play co-op OF THE SAME GAME every night for one year or two years straight? I kind of doubt it. It might be appealing to go from co-op of one game to another whenever a new game comes out, but a good MP competitive mode keeps people playing MUCH LONGER than that. Given the playability of the MP competitive being MUCH LONGER, it's best GG focuses their energy on MP and SP (since SP can't be something a full-price retail game can do without) than take away resources from MP and SP to work on co-op, plus you CAN play WITH friends against bots in MP.

Didn't Haze have 4 player splitscreen or something? It's not a great game by most accounts that I know of but I saw it on Play.com for ten quid. :D

Megamers.com score = 99/100

Killzone 2’s secret ingredient is the fluidity in gameplay that we have come to enjoy more than its graphical prowess or jaw-dropping visuals. And that’s what games have always been about... We're surprised to see Killzone 2 blows our expectations out of the water with a memorable SP campaign and a stellar MP component. To put it short, this game makes "Gears of War 2" look like a high school attempt at gaming and that is a HUGE compliment!
Never heard of the site * but so far its looking good for Killzone 2.
