wow, internal reflection? i still dont understand after all that description. can you elaborate it abit more please, human-friendly please?Pah! Lens flare? We spit on lens flare! KZ2 has internal reflections - uh-huh! On a virtual 16 element high-density lens system with chromatic aberration. Welcome to the future!
It WILL!, even at this early stage it already match the E3 trailer. In fact, I say this right now, the final version of Killzone 2 WILL surpass the 2005 E3 trailer.
Trust me
I think people would have no problem believing that, if they had known at the time it was going to be 4 more years in development.
Ha Ha Ha! Nice one Shifty !Pah! Lens flare? We spit on lens flare! KZ2 has internal reflections - uh-huh! On a virtual 16 element high-density lens system with chromatic aberration. Welcome to the future!

Holy cow. The 16 element number is completely fabricated, you know. 'Internal reflections' for those who want to know are what cause lens flares - it's the posh name for 'em! Lens have lots of glass lenses inside called elements. As light enters, some bounces off the shiny glass lens, and some of that reflects of another lens in front. You get internal reflections between the glass elements that diffuses light and some reaches the film/sensor to create a flare. The difference here is GG called it internal reflections and I think they calculate it as a clever effect rather than the traditional 'paste some hexagonal sprites over the screen' approach. So the technique and results are good, but it's still lens flare

From a purely artistic standpoint this game is perfect. Technically on the other hand is good too, but I fail to see what the buzz is about.
On an unrelated note can I call parallax mapping dynamic pixel displacement? Im itching for a new buzzword.

Rubbish. Lots of people said it wasn't possible on current hardware. Nothing to do with time period.

Well, and it isn't. But it's getting real close!
