Graphical effects that were ahead of their time

    I thought of something similar, Virus on Atari ST and Amiga. But those systems had plenty of 3D games, the basis of that started already in the 8bit era before that with games like Elite (which was the first 3D game I played, in my case on a cousin's C64 now 30 years ago).

    Well, Virus on Atari and Amiga was a port of the ARM based Archimedes game called Zarch.
    (It didn't look as good, as at the time the ARM already was far more capable than the 68000 and also the x86 processor of the day)

    Talking about Elite this actually also was a port of an 8-bit game running originally on Acorn hardware.
    The ARM Archimedes and 8-bit 6502 BBC/Electron were of the Acorn brand.

    Yeah a lot of the cool stuff back then originated from those platforms ...
