Formula 1 - 2013 Season

No great pace in the Ferrari or Lotus and you have to say Red Bulls are looking very strong again. Basically praying for a major improvement in the Mercs race pace or torrential rain or this one won't be very interesting.

Rosberg a second faster than Alonso, jesus. Merc's are so far ahead they might do a 1-2 grid on hard tyres.

Hamilton so fast he nearly lapped the field in Q3.

Ferrari and Lotus are taking some large backwards steps recently though, this is worrying for the championship.

Tough one for Di Resta after a great qualification. They will appeal apparently as the 2nd weight check came in at normal weight.

Watching Hamilton's lap he could have gone even faster. Being nearly half a second faster than the rest at Silverstone is mind-boggling enough though. Still not sure how he'll do in the race but this will be his first chance to get away in front without his tyres being killed chasing somebody else.

Otherwise known as a fair weather fan.

You are absolutely crazy not even realising what he is speaking about

Do you have an idea that perhaps for probably more than 10 years in a row I hadn't missed even a free practice watching every single session live?

If not, don't speak too much without knowing

So? I've watched F1 for 30 years, since Piquet won in '83 in the Brabham in fact. For every good year there has been two that are bad, but I didn't stop watching it because my favourite driver wasn't in a winning car. Come to think of it, I've hardly ever seen my favourite drivers winning the championship - it's mostly been some favoured driver in the fastest car by miles. That's what F1 *is*.

Didn't stop me watching it though.

Safety car, is there something wrong with the track after all rather than the tires?
Also Vettels tire damaged apparently.

doubt it, its not like they have been racing on the track for 5 + hours already this weekend. what they haven't been doing is running this long this heavy at race pace.

Red Bull radio suggests there must be something with the track - it's left rear for everyone and Vettels rear left had cuts in it too.

edit: Mercedes team radio suggests it's the kerbs in turn 4, too
