Only movies still banned here are those considered breaking the law (child pornography being one, as some countries have (had) lower age limits on doing porn than Finland), even if the publisher never paid anything to get it "re-evaluated", they're not banned anymore.true, though often when a film is banned the distributor cant be bothered to pay money to have the classification board relook at a movie

In fact, we have normal drama series being released here sometimes with K-18 stamped on them because the publisher doesn't want to pay to get it rated, it get's the K-18 automaticly.
The "RoboCop" ban for example probably roots itself to the decision to pull K-18 movies out from retail/rental services sometime in the late 80's (can't remember for how long), but if I remember correctly, movie theaters could still show it and others K-18 rated titles
