Formula 1 - 2012 Season

The problem with this is that a normally impeccable source close to Ferrari says the team only want a one-year driver in 2013, as they have a pre-contract with Vettel for 2014.

I'm curious if they'll try to find a long term Alonso replacement or a good 2nd Tier driver.

Getting Vettel is 2014 would be a good move but if Vettel keeps winning at Redbull, I could see him staying.

I heard afterwards people had been speculating that I was 'backing up' Nico, Fernando and McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, who was also behind me, to help my team-mate Sebastian Vettel gain places (backing or holding up other drivers might be done so they come in range of someone behind them - or in this case, in front, so he or a team-mate get an advantage when they pit).

That is absolute rubbish. You just cannot be that fancy around Monaco.

Another fail for McLaren.

No matter how much quicker more downforce lets them go round the corners they will get overtaken for fun on the back straight.

It's quite funny they've gone the downforce route considering they been the best at this track for the last few years because their car was faster in a straight line than the redbulls.

No rain expected for the race at least so far. I hope someone will challenge Mr. Finger from the start.
Lewes is not entirely happy with the car but Alonso might unleash his atomic start off the line and jump RB8.

Few more hours to find out!

Not a bad day for couch athletes. French Open Tennis final starting about now, then Spain-Italy football match and finally Formula 1 Montreal GP finishing the day off :) The day will be spent between the couch, fridge and bathroom haha.

Whoa, thought Kimi did quite bad, but apparently he drove quite well considering his differential lock or whatever it's called wasn't working like it should, but stuck at somewhere "in the middle". Let's hope Lotus solves it by the race

Doubt there was anything wrong with it. He has just slipped into "cannot be arsed" mode. Kimi is making Grosjean look good, granted I don't believe he's as bad as Alonso made him look, but at the same time he isn't as good as Kimi is making him look.

Yes, that's why he's saying he has really good feeling about the race as the problem should be fixed now
If it was any other driver you'd definately agree when the team says there's a problem that there actually is one.

No I wouldn't actually, I would agree if it was Vettel, Alonso or Hamilton (or other drivers not known for making excuses), not Kimi though.

It's not only this race he's been outperformed by Grosjean lets not forget.

When exactly Kimi has made any excuses :???:

And yes, Grosjean has outperformed Kimi on qualifying, but Kimi has continously outperformed him in races which is what matters
