Formula 1 - 2012 Season

Schumi got the best time in Q3 but due to the penalty he got from colliding with Senna in Spain, he'll start 6th. Still, it counts as a pole.

Results from quali:

Schumi (5 place penalty), Webber, Rosberg, Hamilton, Alonso, Massa, Räikkönen, Maldonado (10 place penalty), Vettel, Hulkenberg, Kobayashi, Button, Senna, Di Resta, Ricciardo, Verne, Kovalainen, Petrov, Glock, de la Rosa, Pic, Karthikeyan, Perez (crashed in Q1)

F1 is now about which team can make the tires work the best on a given weekend. I'm in Schumacher's camp about racing to a delta is not fun to watch.

DRS and KERS are fine by me but these tyres are garbage. It's not pirellis fault either.

Vettel really is nothing without a car advantage.

You need to say that BS every time he has had less than perfect outcome? and when he does well you say nothing. It's always his fault, but never to his credit. Annoying as HELL.

10 Sergio Perez 22

he owes his two championships to newey ingenious (cheating) ideas.

he owes his joint championship lead to mclarens incompetance.

webber is outqualifying him. if he cannot drive the car as it is now how can he possibly be considered a great driver?

Because he is a great driver, not perfect but great. He has proven it many times. Alonso and Hamilton might be better, but he is right up there. You just have some weird personal issues with him.

ps: anyone see the stunt schumi pulled on hamilton in spain, it wasnt shown during the spain (quali ?) coverage
found it
http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/groups/f...macher-cutting-the-track-to-hold-up-hamilton/

the second vid has the best view

BBC shows the incident in detail yesterday in their Monaco coverage - showing how Schumacher/Hamilton had a bit of a tussle before that (very innocuous stuff). Schumacher then cuts off the chicane to put himself in the position to pull that stunt. A pretty stupid stunt to pull.

Vettel is great in the same way Button was when he won the championship.

He's a flat track bully, fine when things go his way.

I do respect him and the way he isn't moaning like Button now it's not going his way, but he is not a great. He's a very distant fourth at best, behind Alonso, Hamilton and Raikkonen.

This is nothing but BS. Vettel has a very long list of impressive races and overtakes, Button also has had very good races and seasons, but is currently struggling. Go check out the final standings from last season and you'll have to work hard with your poor BS excuses and illogical/biased reasonings.

haha

You are relentless.

You mean it's good tactics from Lotus to keep Kimi driving when his laptimes drop to several seconds slower than those before him, when 'till then he drove just as fast as them?
Of course there was the chance of rain, but they should have reacted still at the latest when the others started moving to pits.

Long list? Sure if you count the championship years (although when challenged in his first championship he was found wanting), not if you don't. I think you misunderstand, I don't dislike Vettel, I just don't rate him that highly based on his results. Yes he can win in the clearly the best car (with a blown diffuser), but where is the fight this year? Where are the overtakes and impressive races this year? He has even started giving up on qualifying which is very funny this time as Webber stuck it on the front row.

Last year makes no difference to the fact Button got lucky to win the championship, he is not a great driver.

I don't think not running in Q3 should be allowed. Saving tyres in Q3 is bad. I hope Pirelli can get some mandatory Q3 tyres going, force the teams to take them.

Great work by Webbo, Rosberg kept it together and Alonso blitzed Hamilton. Too bad the rain didn't come, it would have been an amazing end to the race.

This was the least good race of the season, but they broke a record: 6 different winners in the 6 first races of a season.

Alonso will win in Canada. :)

No no, it'll be 7/7, and Kimi will get his turn finally (though knowing Lotus, they'll probably pull Kimi in for another pitstop on the last lap to make sure they don't win and lose as many points as possible)

I think the race was great the way it was with just the threat of worsening conditions.

Also, great photo of "launch control":

I thought only RedBull gives you wings ;)
Now we have Petrov in Lotus and Kamui in Sauber trying to impress Christian Horner. :D
