Quakecon crowd saw the early version of the game and engine, just to provide feedback to the devs who were not sure if the game they were building and direction they were taking [after turbulent development] was any good. I hope Zenimax's E3 presentation will have moment like this:

- Tomb Raider 2 footage, at least some teaser.
- Titanfall 2 (if the game isn't already released before june)
- The Last Guardian (one can still dream)

Damn if I don't see what Black Tusk has cooking for the new Gears of War, I'm going to be disappointed. Rangers might be right in saying that even at E3, it may still be too early to release something Gears related. I'll keep my hopes up though!

Halo 5, Quantum Break, Forza Motorsport 6, and Tomb Raider will make appearances for MS for sure. Maybe Rare and Lionhead's secret projects. Scalebound is also a possibility.

The Last Guardian is dead. :devilish:

Yeah, your post got me to thinking so I googled, on May 15 2014 Rod Fergusson showed "concept art" for Gears 4, and revealed the game was in the very early concept/prototyping stage at that time http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/05...-art-will-stick-to-canon-as-best-as-possible/

So yeah I guess too early. Especially as MS is not aggressive on when they show games. The EARLIEST you could see this game released IMO would be early 2016, and it could be significantly later than that, perhaps a fall 2016 release.

And Microsoft tend to only show games that are released in the year of E3, though I imagine they'd have to show Gears if it was planned for early 2016. I personally would love to see a new Gears. Especially if it was a bit more survivaly.

Epic must be up to something. Their new F2P Unreal Tournament must come out for the XOPS.

Halo aside, Gears is probably the most recognisable Xbox franchise. Given Microsoft began talking about Halo on Xbox One at E3 2013 I wouldn't be surprised to see a trailer for Gears.

Based from what has been shown at GDC, I'd imagine a revised VR specific controller (as a whole, or breakable into two pieces) will be announced for Morpheus along with the device's final name, release date, packages and prices.

They need to create a new move with a stick on it. For two move gameplay, people can keep one current move on one hand and just buy the new one for the other hand.

It is the best solution and cheapest solution for consumer.

Probably should include one Move+ and game. Game could be a free download though. Some PS3 upgraders already have Moves and including more for them is just a waste, while two SKUs is just an annoyance. So one Morpheus SKU including Move+ with direction nub/microstick and either buy a new move for the other hand or use an existing one.

They'd need to sell a complete setup too; PS4, Morpheus, camera, and controller.

Which is another reason they may implement a new controller that serves both purposes.

I think tank controls could work in VR like push button to go forward to where you looking. I think moving sideways and backwards like you can with a stick might make you motion sick.

It’s entirely possible that Sony could completely hit the ball out of the park this year, we’ve got several huge things that could happen at their event:

- Morpheus date and price – a whole new PlayStation VR console experience.
- A bunch release games; Project Cars (update to allow for support), Elite Dangerous, No Man’s Sky (potentially), London Heist, etc.
- Maybe new controllers specifically designed for VR, can be used in normal games too.
- Something’s bound to be announced with the Last Guardian, even if it’s a new name/game. How incredible would something like that be if it had properly implemented VR?!

Everyone loves a good hardware announcement.

The Last Guardian was always meant to be a VR experience, hence the long delays. It's specifically been designed for the Morpheus 4 - or Fourpheus, or 4pheus, successor of the MorThreeus, or Mor3us. I can go on all day - slated to be released in November 2035.
