DriveClub by Evolution Studios [PS4]

It also feels like overall visual quality has been dialled down a bit for me versus prior versions. The image is noisier somehow. Can't decide if it's all in my head though.

screen tearing only occurs in replay and under load (all cars on screen and great view distance)
image quality seems untouched, i don't understand the hate about this game's IQ, it looks very clean to me, some minor aliasing, but a lot less jaggy than GTA V for example.

Yeah, I'm very happy with how it looks in motion, it just feels like it's a little worse than usual.

i've noticed a new funny detail in the game.
With some cars (not all cars sadly) in replay mode, when you switch cameras while the car is standing still, you can hear a startup sound:

To be honest I am not sure how I feel about image quality. On one hand graphics are really superb, on the other image feels kinda grainy, dark and blurry. Take a look at dashboard. It is really hard to read the speedometer. Also SSR can produce some ugly results during replays (wet asphalt). In the end I think game has great level of graphics and details but image quality is so so. Definitely not close to level of Infamous, Killzone or Tomb Raider. I hope that GT7 will be cleaner even with less effects and stuff.

SSR does weird things sometimes yes, but i still find it better than cubemaps, as it reflects more things.
warmer colors in photos are taken with contrast filter and higher exposition, it's not as colorful while playing.
There are of course some rough spots, but overall, it's a great step up over last gen.

Is the PS Plus version of this game admittedly shelved?
It's been over 8 months since the supposed release and there's still nothing.

I still find myself drawn to DriveClub. The continued release of DLC keeps me entertained and while I'm not so obsessed with full-starring the whole game as I used to be, I still love to play. The recently released Lamborghini and Torque campaigns are pretty well judged for great-to-expert players. 2 starring is easy, 3 starring takes real skill.
