Oh don't get me wrong, i'm non-plussed either, PGR3 has an amazing sense of speed (at least from the videos) so 30fps is cool.

Still, 60fps would be just purrfect.

One of the latest videos I saw recently was at 50ish fps, if I remember well, with two cars and occasional tearing and slowdown during car collisions. Not sure what they are really aiming for, maybe they don't care about reaching 60 fps at all. But if they do then what I meant is that they're probably safe using those hi-res models at 60 fps, otherwise they would need to lower the quality to reach that refresh rate, if they really wanted to.

That motion blur really does add to the realism and sense of speed I've noticed. Motion blur on X360 really is great. PDZ puts it to very good use from what I can judge of it from the latest videos.

Glad its nothing like the old style motion blur we used to get which was UGLY.

Yeah motion blur helps a lot. I wish more devs use it if they can't hit 60 fps.

I wonder if it would be considered proper form to release a patch for PGR3 that enabled 60 fps. Bizarre claims they can do it for sure but the timing might work against them. If that's the case, maybe a patch to enable that could be released 3 weeks after launch.

I'm not sure I want to encourage such activity, though.

they might, I thnk they patched pgr2 when you downloaded the addon's

the thing is if they keep a solid 30 fps and motion blur I don't think framerate will be an issue, unless it drops below 30 every now and then

It doesn't bug me much, but 60 fps is buy-or-don't-buy issue for a fair amount of people.

Bizarre and MS lies moreand more, look at this example,

    yesterday:

    http://media.xboxyde.com/gallery/public/1456/726_0001.jpg

    and now:

    http://media.xboxyde.com/gallery/public/2027/726_0012.jpg

LOL,i think the console launch are too early,i think for PGR3 march06 is a better time.
The game looks fully uncomplete, low stottered framerate,to much motion blur, blurry
textures, jaggies. Where is AA for free???

    X360 was only a big hype,NOT MORE,and the f a n b o y s think MS can win the race.LOLOL....

How did this guy get past the 'are you over 13' disclaimer? I'm not even going to dignify this troll with a rebuttal.

Edt: Ah I can't ignore it. Bizarre has said that there were bugs in the streaming code causing texture popup (low resolution textures swapped for high resolution prematurely or two late) in the game. This popup seems to be only present on certain tracks. They have since fixed the bug.

How absurdly, you didn't must be an expert to see the different between the material at the beginning(standpicture) and the material we see at the moment. It's a BIG different......

How looks the game on a normal Pal TV?

It's a show stopping bug. Bizarre probably wouldn't even release the game for launch if this bug was still there.

If you had watched the video that screenshot is from you would know that the player would never see those blurry billboards in game unless the detached the camera and went into a strange debug camera mode (I think they were running two Xbox 360s, one connected to a TV playing the game and the other observing the race over a LAN connected to the projector). In fact I don't think it's the same as the popup bug because I didn't see any pop up in the video.

    Here's the video in question.

Just incase people care to watch, not really for his benefit. Good video if it weren't for the poor quality. The car is amazing, to bad the non GT version of the F50 is probably the ugliest Ferrari ever.
