They're all just flavours of GCN.(and even RDNA was in certain contexts marked as GCN, CDNA too)
This sounds inline with Intel's reasoning - you gotta put the major TDP contributor at the very top of "the cake". So you are able to provide effective cooling for those parts.Cores sitting on top of stacked pile of SRAM for LLC.
Eh, tags are still pretty toasty. This sounds inline with Intel's reasoning - you gotta put the major TDP contributor at the very top of "the cake"
That's Nvidia's job now.long as RDNA doesn't continue the trend of increasingly ineffective GCN furnaces
Not much.I wonder how much Joules the interconnect does consume
By not using uBumps first and foremost.how AMD will handle the extremely high thermal density and low heat transfer rates of stacked silicon?
I’m not sure why you’re only remembering the skeptics. There were just as many true believers.
I think people will be generally less skeptical of AMD’s engineering prowess this time around. They have multiple generations of chiplet architecture under their belt so we “know” they can build a chiplet based GPU. The question is how well will it scale.
It's interesting to see, how fast "consoles need upscaling to offer good performace, PC doesn't need such crap, PC rulezzz!" changed to "PC offers better upscaling than consoles, PC rulezzz!" ;-)
Oh c'mon, AMD quoted very real numbers at their FAD and the likes of plebbit still went nuts with schizo theories of AMD somehow not having a GA102 comp part et all.The skepticism (I was one of them) was hardly undeserved
RDNA2 laptops, RX6600 and/or RDNA3 teaser?Oh hell yeah it's all coming together.
Tune up in what, 36 hours?
Yes.RDNA2 laptops
Yes (M).RX6600
Kiiiinda.and/or RDNA3 teaser?
Not until 2023 lolthe one thing people want IMO is volume availability.
RDNA2 laptops, RX6600 and/or RDNA3 teaser?
To be honest, the one thing people want IMO is volume availability.
There's already plenty of news and reviews of cards we can't buy at MSRP.
No such thing.the refresh of RDNA2 more likely
No and no (even 18Gbps ICs don't exist in volume).6nm, much higher power and clocks, and hopefully higher memory speed (there's 20gbps GDDR6 memory controllers available).
Oooh, it's amazing.whatever x3D is
Hell tf yeah. That being said, x3D might also be applicable to RDNA3
Van Gogh is probably dead:They'll probably also talk about Van Gogh/laptops…
He's just another run of the mill weibo tourist. The same Twitter account shared some Navi31/32 info.
N31 is two parts you see.I thought it was leaked that the Navi31 tape-out happened 2020?
Van Gogh is probably not dead, as evidence piles up on Valve using it in SteamPal.Van Gogh is probably dead
Alive and well, but hardly relevant at this point (premium FF part being relegated to handhelds is lol. Feels nvidia man).Van Gogh is probably not dead
Kiiiinda.
Flip the SRAM tile on itself, put two GPU compute tiles next to each other and you have your RDNA3.no RDNA3 teaser ?
no RDNA3 teaser ?
