Not sure if this is the right thread, but it looks like MS is giving away free game with console purchase including upcoming Batman game.

Similar to what they did for Destiny (which was heavily marketed by Sony): http://majornelson.com/2015/06/19/buy-xbox-one-choose-a-game-for-free/

Smart on their part, gives consumers on the fence another reason to buy. I get to use my existing library, get a new game I want and the new Gears and Halo will be out eventually....

ugg, I missed out on the e3 30% off deals. The pricing of games in Canada 74.99 is brutal. Without that discount, I'm going to be hurting pretty badly, 3 games will hit me @ 220+

MCV Uk has the top ten Amazon preorders from E3 (I believe this is UK Amazon)

http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/rare-replay-is-amazon-s-most-pre-ordered-game-announced-at-e3/0151588

Below is the most Top Ten most pre-ordered games and perpherals announced at E3:

1, Rare Replay, Microsoft
2. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Microsoft
3. Doom, Bethesda
4. Dishonored 2, Bethesda
5. Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix
6. Gears of War 4, Microsoft
7. South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Ubisoft
8. Horizon Zero Dawn, Sony
9. Dishonored Definitive Edition, Bethesda
10. Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller, Microsoft

Microsoft does quite well, but then again not too fair since most of Sony's stuff was far off.

I think it has more to do with the key words "announced at E3" and not anything about "far off". FFVII and Horizon are both 2016 at best and are on the list. What else did Sony announce that was up for sale on Amazon? Sony's other games were already announced and for pre-order. I can't imagine anything on the list was heavily pre-odered anyhow if Dishonored 2 and Dishonored made the list ;)

FF7 in 2016? I predict that a lot of people here will be very, very surprised by the final release date of this game.
First of all, FFXV is out in 2016, so all hands on deck for that one.
Also, FFXV is out in 2016 so the attention needs to be on that for a little while. FF7 will be 2017, and that's being optimistic.

Nomura said they have a date for KH3 but they don't want to talk about it now. FF7 remake is probably 2017 it wil be the 20th anniversary of FF7. Nomura probably work on FF7 remake since August/September 2014 when he gave up the role of FF XV lead director.

They have an engine for FF7 remake (luminous or UE 4). More news this winter for FF7 remake...

Well, Sony will release Uncharted collection this year and the game is not even on the list when GoW Ultimate edition is second. Surprised they didn't show the game at E3. The game is being developed since more than 2 years by Bluepoint, they surely must have some polished gameplay sections to show off. Meh.

Maybe they didn't want to steal and undermine UC4 show by showing a 60fps game versus a only 30fps game...

I said "at best" and that further backs my assertion, if FFVII is so far off and still in the top ten, then Rangers theory is not supported by the data. The list is completely governed by what games were announce and went on sale on Amazon near the same time.

Uncharted wasn't announced at E3 GoW was IIRC, the list is for games announced only.

Here’s the games which saw the biggest uplift in pre-orders following E3.

  1. Forza Motorsport 6 – 1005%
  2. Star Wars Battlefront – 857%
  3. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – 690%
  4. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – 488%
  5. Fallout 4 – 467%
  6. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – 382%
  7. Halo 5: Guardians – 344%
  8. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate – 243%
  9. Madden NFL 16 – 136%
  10. FIFA 16 – 76%

Too be fair I believe that list is Amazon UK only. So you're talking about a much smaller market than USA where Amazon has who knows how much market share (my guess is maybe even less than America). Further it's just the percent increase, there's no base numbers to base it on, so for example Fallout 4 could have way more actual preorders than Forza 6 for all we know.

A game which goes up for order that day is going to have a much larger number, lie Forza. Some of those games have been shown and up for pre order for months.

1) The initial top 10 games listed by Amazon were only games announced at E3 so Uncharted would not be would not make the initial list even if it got 1 million pre-orders
2) The 2nd list means jack because 1005% of 10 is much less than 67% of 1 million (obviously exagerated to prove the point)

Batman: Arkham Knight becomes the fastest-selling game of 2015

It's also the fastest-selling game in the franchise, with week one sales outpacing those of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Origins. However, it's also the first Arkham game to release in the UK on a Tuesday, lending it a greater amount of time to achieve higher week one sales.

PS4 also secured two-thirds of the game's sales, with 67 per cent of copies sold on Sony's console and 33 per cent on Xbox One.

I wonder how many PS4 Batman Arkham bundles have sold so far.

Holy sales, Batman! Arkham Knight has beaten The Witcher 3 to become this year’s biggest launch to date.

Here is the full UK retail Top Ten for the week ending June 27th, courtesy of GfK Chart-Track and UKIE:

1. Batman Arkham Knight (Warner Bros)
2. LEGO Jurassic World (Warner Bros)
3. The Elder Scrolls Online (Bethesda)
4. Yoshi’s Woolly World (Nintendo)
5. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Bandai Namco)
6. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
7. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Activision)
8. FIFA 15 (EA)
9. Destiny (Activision)
10. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward

Impressive sales for an awesome game. Hopefully PC version will get sorted out soon.

Sony has to be very pleased with that sales split.
