Anyway, looks like the monthly chart just got its end of the week update. Movement relative to the mid-week update is in parenthesis.

10 - XBO: AC (same)
16 - PS4 (down 2 spots)
44 - XBO: COD (price rose again to 539 USD) (down 4 spots)
49 - XBO: AC (up 2 spots)
54 - PS4: Destiny (same)

PS4 being down 2 spots may be due to Black Friday PS4 bundle deals eating into it's sales.

XBO: COD is sold by yet another 3rd party. Seems that as one 3rd party seller runs out of stock the next more expensive 3rd party seller takes it's place. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these 3rd parties are just buying them from Best Buy and reselling them on Amazon for a small profit. Surprised that the XBO: COD bundle isn't dropping faster due to the price gouging.

I wondered why Fox just mentioned PS4 hitting 15 million units sold... everyone in the media is trolling VGChartz for info (again). 15 million units sold through isn't unrealistic... I'm leaning more towards 16 million units sold. Anyhow, Sony will more than likely mention PS4s worldwide sales during Decembers Sony's press/fan event.

PS4 sales top 15 million, 50 million games
According to a post on VGChartz, Sony has hit two significant milestones in recent days, while Microsoft have their own milestone to celebrate too.

According to the site 15 million PlayStation 4s have been sold worldwide (up to the week ending November 22), and they also suggest that Sony has now sold more than 57 million games for the console.

It's not an official announcement from Sony, but if accurate, it's good news for the firm nonetheless. Late last month it was reported that they had sold 13.5 million console, so given the time of year it's certainly plausible.

Another report from the same site includes their estimation that Xbox One has sold over 8 million units worldwide, with a further 32 million games sold for the platform.

Again, these are estimates, not official numbers, so take them with a pinch of salt. Even if they are accurate they don't take into account the recent Black Friday sales. No doubt Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will do well in the coming weeks.

It was 13.5 million at end of September. 1.5 million in two months including big-selling November seems a gimme. That number may come from VGChartz having afew US numbers and extrapolating for RoW.

Also, as I don't remember it being posted, EG had an article on anecdotal evidence for XB1's performance in China. It doesn't sound like significant momentum there.

That's not how it works, it's a relative list. If Dora the Explorer goes on sale for $1 and makes it to #1, then everything else moves down regardless of their sales rate.

Yes. And everything in the top 100 is selling every day in order to maintain its position in the monthly top 100. Which means PS4 standard is selling less than 2 items when previously it was selling better than them for the month of Nov.

Obviously it could just be a coincidence that PS4 standard sales drop off just just enough to allow 2 other products to move ahead of it when black friday hits. Or that everything else is selling more while PS4 sales remain static. Either way, it's all just conjecture (hence the "may be" in my original post) since the monthly rankings don't provide enough information for any definitive statements.

Well X1 just got a +1 sale....from me. Scored an X1 Ass Creed bundle for $329.00 that included a $25 gift card. An added bonus...the clerk threw in a Xbox Live Gold starter kit that included an X360 chat pad, 12 months of live, a headset (cheapy kind) and a 400 Microsoft point card (worth $10).

Basically got the system for $294 with 2 games included (Ass Creed Unity and Black Flag). I also picked up Ryse Legendary Edition for $29 and a Kinect for $150 with Dance Central Spotlight.

I was trying to score an Ass Creed bundle with Kinect for $429 (included a $50 gift card instead of $25), but it was sold out. With that bundle, I guess I could've saved an additional $50 overall sans the Dance Central Spotlight game.

I was really hoping for an MCC, Sunset Overdrive or Forza Horizon bundle because I wasn't really interested in Ass Creed, but not such luck:)

I will probably pick up Killer Instinct this week and hopefully the others by X-Mas if good sales pop up.

A marketing research firm claims the XB1 was the biggest console seller for Black Friday by taking a 53% share of the consoles sold. The PS4 took 31%, the 360 took 9%, the Wii U took 6% and the PS3 took 1%.

How InfoScout (the market research firm) works:

To get this data, InfoScout uses two smartphone apps that reward consumers for uploading their purchases by taking pictures of their receipts. The intelligence firm tracks over 200,000 shoppers, and it gets more than 125,000 receipts on an average day. On Black Friday, consumers uploaded more than 182,000 receipts, which helped InfoScout declare Xbox One the Black Friday winner.

This is a new one on me!

Seems like a good spread of sampling data, although of course its self selective. Given the mass of excellent deals on XB1, and MS were clearly gunning for a sales victory this month, I think we can be pretty confident in the results. ;)

I think Microsoft are going all out for good results this month and next - at least in the USA. What's happening elsewhere in the world and what happens when Microsoft put the price back on Xbox One, are the interesting questions

Amazon UK X1 update - ACU bundle at £300, down £30:

CoD + Forza bundle out of stock, same with FIFA bundle, FC4, FH2, GTA 5, Halo + Forza 5, Halo + headset too. Previously the GTA 5 bundle was only out of stock on the 21st. Looks like they're selling well.

PS4 in comparison - CoD bundle out of stock, Ghosts + PSPlus 2 left, Driveclub has 3 left, FIFA + Minecraft out of stock

Last year they had the X1 outselling Ps4 like 2-1, and last November was basically a tie. So I wouldn't put too much into it. If you apply the same skew this time as they had last year, then PS4 would win handily.

Here was last year

Also, there's been a sudden sea change in Amazon monthly rankings for November. AC Unity X1 is now 3rd, GTAV PS4 bundle is 17th, and regular PS4 is 20th.

Perhaps only a portion of the GTA PS4 bundles sales were captured at the point when the monthlies updated, but barring that it looks pretty strong for X1.

Definitely not supply constrained this time. So a lot of them on shelves. I didn't see alot of X1s though and the store I bought my bundle at had about 6 left behind the counter where the PS4s where on the store floors easily available.

We got to the store about 9 am (they opened at 4 am), so I missed a Kinect bundle Ass Creed that would've saved me about $50 (not counting that my standalone Kinect order comes with Dance Central Spotlight, so it maybe a wash).

Gamestop had plenty of both it seemed. Walmart's X1 game sales were wiped out by the time I got there as there was nothing but empty slots and sales tags where the game tickets would've been.

This was all in Mississippi where I was visiting friends for Thanksgiving.

Back in Florida and it seems to be a similar story other than Gamestop (still have both available).

The price! Major discounts especially with bundles, plus the promise of the price rising meaning people getting now where perhaps they'd have been happy to put it off for a number of months more. "I was going to get one in the Spring, but at this price I'll jump now."

What is causing this increase in X1 sales all of the sudden? More attractive bundles?

In a span of a year, MS dropped price for 170-180$, and not only that, they are also giving at least 2 games for free with every console during hollydays. They are really brute-forcing the sales of Xbone with irrational discounts. It will help them... in US and UK.
