PS4 GTA V bundle is now #2 on the Amazon hourly charts behind the XB1 AC bundle. I didn't see it on the charts then bam it just got refreshed to #2.

PS4 bundle is #2 and XB1 bundle is #1 on the Amazon bext seller list.

Does anyone know if the free game of your choice offer for the XB1 bundle is only for the Microsoft store?

2nd PS4 bundle also #20...

GAF BF retail sales impressions threads, it seems anywhere from they're kinda tied, to X1 flying off the shelves.

Edit: creamsugar on GAF left odd numbers today. See if we can decipher

21:9 > 380
4-46%,1-27%

2137 < 150
4-41%,1-32%

4 drive 46
1 drive 110
samus2 68
Level-5 46
ds clone 39

Anything with 4, 1, is surely PS4/X1 sales percentages, of whatever it's referring to.

I dont care about the Nintendo stuff.

Looks like it's just games sales and splits, not too exciting. Just need to figure what titles 21:9 and 2137 are.

1 drive, I assumed he was meaning Forza Horizon 2, and for 4 drive Drive Club. The first gaf comment takes 1 drive to mean sunset Overdrive, though (not counting bundles)

I don't think hourly charts are that crucial or telling. Perhaps on a worldwide scale, but not on a localized online shop that covers a particular region...

Is there any merit to recent quotes of one-off hourly rates? Strikes me as just noise and no value to the thread. The last couple of pages seems completely pointless as the data's unusable. Or if it is usable, no-one's using it to make predictions.

Anyone wanting Amazon's hourly numbers is free to look them up. I don't think frequent updates are worth anything any more and they should be dropped. Let's stick to NPD, Amazon monthly charts, and those sporadic Japan and Europe sales figures that appear.

Japan sales of XB1 == 38,461

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...x-boss-resigns-following-xbox-one-launch-flop
The vast majority - 23,562 units - were sold over its first four days. Xbox 360 sold double that over two days when it launched back in 2005.
So 14,899 sold in 10ish weeks.

I wonder what Japanese devs are planning? Focus on Western markets, or shift somewhat to mobile?

Looking at the movers and shakers, and hourly sales updates, seems like PS4 is having a great day.

1 an 15 in the hourly, 1 and 2 in the movers and shakers. Showing some 703.700% increase on the GTA bundle.

But it's an irrelevant slice. What information can that extrapolate to give us? Does it predict PS4 and XB1 sales for the month? No, it's too variable on such a small slice. The monthly Amazon charts give a reasonable indicator of what NPD might do. The weekly charts were introduced just as a sort of precursor to the monthly, but so much can change week on week that the first couple of weekly rankings can be completely off what the final monthly rankings are. The hourly ranking is in its part completely useless data.

If you want to see who's moving up and down every hour, be my guest, but in this thread it's pointless data that doesn't lead to discussion and just adds filler. My mod hat is telling me to end it and remove future hourly updates, and I must obey the mod hat.

Ignore me, just realised (by reading the chart) that the movers and shakers chart only goes on number of positions it's moved and is no indicator of sales anyway.

Also, the "hourly" charts haven't updated since I first looked 2 1/2 hours ago. Maybe Amazon is having a little melt down.

Well about monthly charts...

I saw the latest has PS4 #16 and X1 #10.

The new PS4 bundle SKU's would be separate SKU's. They're not in the top 100 yet, probably because they didn't make the cutoff yet.

But the $329 Xbox is the same SKU. Albeit the X1 they sold for their BF special which included a year of Live and two other crappy games, might well have been a different SKU. So this means all X1 sales will be more consolidated and it may not give a true picture. Also as someone said the hourlies haven't updated in 2.5 hrs, so Amazon charts are probably borked anyway.

Just 2 more days, plus maybe a couple days to update the charts, and we can get some November finality if the charts catch up.

I'm pretty sure XB1 is gonna take November and pretty comfortably at that. While Sony offered some good bundles on BF, I don't think it's gonna be nearly enough to compete with MS's very aggressive month-long deals. I still think the PS4 will do well, but I think the XB1 will sell a shit-ton.

To Sony's defense, they don't need to compete with MS's aggressiveness. Sony will still comfortably outsell XB1 worldwide, and should maintain their lead in the US in total sales. Why lose money when they don't have to.

Xbox One down to #3 and PS4 is still at #1. The Microsoft store has the Xbox One Bundle, with the free game of your choice, in stock again.
