I think it's temporary - as soon as the PS3's are in plentiful supply, their sales will dip again. The xbox family has never really appealed to the Jap market.

That's still a marked improvement. If XB360 can level at those numbers for a while, it'll be a massive (though irrelevant!) gain for MS.

But if the spike was indeed due to Blue Dragon then there's nothing to suggest they can level at those numbers. They should be dropping steadily to what they were.
