it's just a matter of size realy, if a company is selling ships , and went form 1 ship per week, to sell 3 ships per week, then that's momentum, however if the company is just selling toy ships, that is not momentum. When sales triple? That's not momentum? A year after launch?
Obviously it is a gain in momentum, albeit a small one.

all i'm saying is that the recent spike in 360's sales, is insignificant, because it still falls behind the other players in the market, going from 20-30K sales (great sales) to 40-60K (very good sales) is a gain in momentum , however going from 1,5-2k (pathetic sales) to 3-6k (less pathetic sales) it's not.So...you're saying MS is selling toy ships?

I fail to see the "strong" start from XBOX in japan, i see the same pattern with 360, the only difference is that in the same amount of time xbox 360 has sold half the units of his predecesor.I'd disagree, it can be indicative of a trend. XBOX1's sales started off strong and declined steadily into nothingness. 360 sales are doing the opposite.
as you can see from my link, XBOX has also a similar spike near holidays, it didn't last though. We know have 3 weeks in a row where sales took a signifigant jump, they're still pathetic, but they're improving.

that was not my point, i said so myself, my disagreement was with this:You fail to see 122k sold in the first week? That's much stronger than 360...

i think it's more than obvious from the data we have so far, that both consoles have a similar sales course, cut the numbers of XBOX in half and you'll get more or less the 360 numbers, including the spike.
That didn't move much HW, though
Maybe not consoles, but... uh... nevermind.
Small tidbit - Blue Dragon Famitsu scores are in: 37/40 (10/9/9/9)
360 sold over 7k units this week in japan (7,007 to be more precise), thats ~3k over the last week...
I'm not sure if its just the proximity of Blue Dragon, but it does seem that 360 sales are slowly crawling up...
It's because of DOAX2 (It's at the 8th with 45,536 copies - 1/3 of the whole Xbox 360 owners!)360 sold over 7k units this week in japan (7,007 to be more precise), thats ~3k over the last week...
