Is CEC not working? What remote are you using? Working fine on my Series X.

My xbox will turn the tv on and off but wont control volume so CEC should be working

I have the bigger PDP remote. Haven't used it with the Series X since the latest update or 2. So I will double check this evening. The remote gets more use in the bedroom with the OneX.

Is your soundbar connected to the TV via HDMI-ARC? That's how my TCL TV & Vizio soundbar are connected.

No its an older one with optical out. The problem is even if i try to use the vizio built in sound it doesn't work

CEC is absolutely one of the most unreliable 'standards' ever created by the A/V industry. It's utterly simple in specification yet so many device combination simply don't work well together. I just don't get it.

@SmooTh hopefully the dashboard update also includes HDR so my Series X / LG OLED TV do not keep resyncing the displaying when switching between a game running in HDR with the small menu overlay and the full Xbox dashboard.

If Microsoft could also remove the bloody ads in the UI, that would be stellar.

Dashboard is in SDR, I think.

I hope they will have the dashboard to use the same graphics mode as whatever running title is, so it cuts down on the mode switching.

Which is kind of nuts because the overall design is very monochromatic. Could it be the other content in the UI? But Xbox Series supports auto-HDR in realtime in games. It doesn't make any sense.
