Playing FF9 for the first time. Haven't played a real RPG since FF7 back in the 90s and it seems all the modern ones are just Ubisoft style copy/paste busy work simulators so I went old school.

Finished Guardians tonight with little time to spare. Really enjoyed it. 9/10.

Btw, the game became a stuttery mess during Chapter 12 for awhile even in performance mode for some reason. I'm not overly bothered by such things, but thought I'd point it out for the 60fps crowd.

Lighting is possibly the best I've seen in a game that doesn't use RTGI but everything else is pretty average look to me.

Playing Outriders again now that I have a new graphics card and can play at 120 Hz. Bought it on Steam since it's not on GP anymore and that's where I originally played it. I don't mind since I wanted to do a whole new playthrough anyway.

So, all I have to say is the game is still enjoyable for a looter shooter. However, 120 Hz makes it SOOOO much easier than when I played it at 60 Hz. Aiming is a breeze and camera movement is so much more fluid that all actions in the game are just incredibly easier to pull off. I have a difficult time trying to imagine going back to 60 Hz if I can at all help it. I love it. So easy to pull off headshots on moving targets now.

It's still on Xbox GamePass. Just Checked and it is part of PC GamePass too. The DLC Addon "WorldSlayer" is not part of the Game Pass.

One of the first tings I do with all games is turn of noise grain and CA, I did this with TLOU but after seeing the techpowerup shots of the game I decided to turn them and wow.

Unlike most games they add so much to the visuals.

They've really nailed the lighting in this rally update, I just wish there was a mod to push the draw distance way out.

I'm really enjoying Tunic. I'm a little over half-way I think. I like the funky game manual and the exploration. I'm on a pretty tough boss battle right now, but hopefully I can get this handled.

I'm expecting them to announce that it's leaving April 30th.

Anyone got any recommendations for a good story driven game that doesn't need more than say 20hrs dumping in to it?
