Finally removed the TAA from Dying Light 2!

Man it's TAA sucks, blurs the game so much more than it needs too.

Hopped back into Doom 2016 after a little hiatus and damn is that game super optimized. At first I thought my overlay was broken. Running at 140fps (fps cap) with 1 CPU core at 30% and the other threads basically idling. GPU is at 40% usage. I know it's a corridor shooter that's a few years old but that's still crazy efficient compared to most other games.

It's not doing a lot compared to other games though is it? Super basic AI, next to no physics and basic (even for the time) graphics.

Finished Kena - Solid 8/10 and was a pleasant surprise (and it was a nice and refreshing change from all the shooters I typically play)

So now I've moved in to Stray - (Max settings, native 1440p@120fps on a RTX4070ti)

It's art style and lighting is gorgeous and it stutters but it's only every now and then.

Really loving Stray!

Game is gorgeous and the story has me hooked, stutters now and then but at 120fps it's not really noticeable as the frame rate is so high that when it dips slightly I very rarely feel it.

It's CGI quality in places.

currently playing just cause 3 (mindless fun) and when ive finished that will play just cause 2 which still has the bug you can rebind all the keys but the letter E is hardwired to the horn
I use WSQE instead of WASD and the horn beeps every time I turn right

I was working on Guardians of the Galaxy and I like it, but then I got sucked into Hi Fi Rush for a bit but realized I should go back to Guardians before it leaves GP. On the way to doing so I decided to see what all the fuss was about Vampire Survivors and even though I'm not a pixel art guy at all it's really addictive and I've been playing that. I also put a few hours into Age of Empires II on XSX and it's really good. The controller setup is quite workable.

Welcome to the fold brother. Vampire Survivors would have been my GOTY for 2022 if Elden Ring hadn't been released.

Rogue: Genesis

It's an autobattler like Vampire Survivors but combined with a Slay the Spire map.

Where Vampire Survivors is an almost meditative Zen like experience, Rogue: Genesis is more hectic. It's got pretty good rogue-like progression as well as map challenges and adds a dodge mechanic. Really digging it.

Holy snot! I just looked and I've put in 51 hours in it already. What? I only started playing it a few days ago. Holy cow I didn't know I'd spent that much time in the game, wow.

Metal gear rising revengence. Put off playing this for a long time as I’m not a fan of metal gear or hack and slash. Having a blast with it so far though and it’s making me want to give DMC and Bayonetta another look.

One quirk is that the game hardcodes a few specific resolutions to choose from regardless of what windows says is available and it maxes out at 1080p (yaay console ports!). Luckily driver upscaling is doing a pretty good job bumping it up to 4K.

Thanks I saw that but it messes up quick time prompts because the game UI isn’t compatible with 4K. Didn’t want the hassle.
