Uncharted : Drake's Fortune*

I'm on my way through Crushing :D Never done it before...it's tough! I'm not really trying to get these trophies...they just come and it feels good :)

Ya, me too playing on Hard. Its fun ! and I saw "Uncharted: Drakes Fortune" under your avatar all day!

Welll, the trophies are getting us all play Uncharted again, I hope it also makes some new guys buy it.Such a sweet game shouldn't be missed.Although I don't know how much trophies can influence a buying decision.

The rewards you receive for the medal points in Uncharted, are a much better reason to get them than the trophy's. There are making of videos, weapon select, additional skins, mirror world, speed up, slow motion, and even a next gen filter for all you game reviewers out there.

A lot of people in my friendslist have been showing off their trophy's by putting the number they have in their comments next to their avatar's. I guess it does add value for some people. There doesn't seem to be a fixed number of trophy's across every game, like the 1000 achievement points on Xbox. And what does the level mean? I'm a level 4 by just collecting all the trophy's in Uncharted. Some of my friends have more trophy's than I have by playing Stardust HD and Pixeljunk Eden, yet I have a higher level. I guess you get more points for better trophy's.

The better the trophy, the more points. Platinum can put you almost up a whole level. There are a fixed number of points per game, and developers can decide to split that up as they see fit (the points allocated to PSN games is a lot lower than PS3 games)

Ahh Thanks. Do you get anything for reaching a certain level, or is it just an easy way to see how many points you have collected from all your games put together? And these levels, do you always need the same amount of points to reach the next level, or does it increase the amount you need for the next level, like it usually works in RPG's?

Has there been any more resent news on how they work inside Home? All it I know is that there is a gallery from when it was first announced. But that was a few years ago. The trophy's look a bit unimpressive now, so a character model or ingame items might look a lot better. But I can't see myself visiting other people's galleries. Something like a shirt for your character inside Home with the name of all the games you all the trophy's for would perhaps be better, if this is all about bragging rights.

Maybe you get a mount at level 40. :D But seriously, they might have premium gear unlockable by level.

I'm sure developers will allow you to earn things. you'll earn things in Home as well I guess. And wearing shirts etc has been mentioned by the developers.

Platinumum.

And what does the level mean?
At the moment Level is meaningless, like those poster levels on some gaming forums. I think it only adds for those with competitive spirit. I'm guessing though that there'll be bonuses in Home, so people of higher level will maybe get costumes or stuff for their apartment, as a reward for playing games, encouraging them to buy and play more games to unlock more stuff.

Nothing will get more new Uncharted players like the Platinum release that we just saw of the game though! ;)

You'll get a bigger apartment too.

Well they did release the patch in euroland first, it ain't my fault.

Excuses excuses. I don't think you like Uncharted as much as you say you do. You let Amy Henning down man. ;)

So this is what trophies are all about, that was magical indeed.

So what are you saying? I'm going to be living in a box?! Must buy games! Must get trophies!

I just viewed your trophy list on PSN, deep. Are you getting all those trophies in the harder mode, or were they got just playing the game and have been credited? 100 headshots or whatever it was seems a lot to get in a couple of days!

I'm saying that it has been mentioned by Sony peeps that going up levels could earn you things in Home, from tshirts, to furniture, to apartment backgrounds, and even a bigger apartment/house.

Played it on hard...got the 100 headshots towards the end of the game. Playing through on crushing now and trying to find all the treasures.

Aim for the head ? you can cover, the enemies are stationary very often, i dont see the challenge, aspecially not if you got time to play for a few days.

Not stationary on Crushing :D Skill's involved certainly, but there's 100's of enemies to kill before the game's out...so very possible to get 100 headshots.

100 headshots is very easy on the hard difficulty, so I would imagine it being an ok challenge on crushing. The enemies generally peak out of their cover just where you expect them to and some even cycle between a little peak, bigger peak and then getting out of the cover and shooting and moving about and then ducking back in again. I didn't observe if this was true for all regular human enemies.

I won't be playing Uncharted again on crushing (got stuck the first time and got bored), it was really brutal. I am very impressed that some of you guys have finished the game on crushing
