Deep is without a doubt the biggest Trophy-whore on my friends-list. That said, I would probably be a lot like him if I had the time.

Well at least the system records the time and date when they were achieved, and thanks to the timing of the patch in the different regions I managed to get hold of a few trophies sooner.

I still can't see the appeal in trophies. You guys must have not worked in sales before. >_<

Well, some people were complaining about the absence of achievements and it was regarded as one of the things that the PS3 lacked next to the 360....so....it needed an implementation of a similar feature to improve the image of the product. And here it is.

I didnt get the appeal of it, but when I entered my accomplishments menu in DMC4 and so what I achieved and compared with others, it started to give me a sense of the appeal. A friend of mine who has DMC4 as well but on the 360 has unlocked some achievements as well although he is not as a good player as I am. We often talk about what we have accomplished in our games like DMC4 and VF5 and it would have been awesome if we could have evidence of our accomplishments and compare

It takes competition with friends into a different level. Competition is taken offline as well.

Unfortunately I dont have close friends that own a PS3 who are as "hardcore" as I am in my PSN friend's list. But if me and my close friend owned the same console we would have compared and it would have been awesome

Fortunately I will purchase a 360 once I get a good paying job

We are something like 8 (out of an office of about 25) with PS3's at home, so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. There was a lot of talk when they were all playing GTA IV about how they did this mission or that and at what percentage they were etc. I think once they all start playing a game that has trophies, the fun will no doubt begin. In the meantime though I've (just out of curiosity and because the games that get trophies so far are great games, mind you) managed to get an early lead with 25 trophies now over 3 games, against I think zero for all the other guys.

Well...i like Stardust and Eden...and love Uncharted. I've yet to try for a trophy in uncharted...just playing it through again and seeing what I can "achieve". I don't spend that much time playing...maybe a couple of hours late at night.

Most people in my friendslist that have Uncharted, are replaying it as well. It would be nice if the added trophy support would give Uncharted a sales boost. It would give other devs. a reason to add trophy support to they previously released games to. I was hoping Insomniac would do the same for Resistance, R&C ToD and R&C Q4B. But they are focusing all their resources towards Resistance 2, and won't adding trophy support until its released, and maybe after it.

IIRC, it's written in the alphabet used in Jak&Dexter and apparently it reads "Naughty Dog Manmad". Manmad is a city in India, if the translation is correct. So people have been suggesting that Uncharted 2 might be set in India.
